Stay Safe on eBayPosted Aug-11-07 16:16:46 PDT I love ebay and will continue to be a part of this great community. It's a great way to make some extra cash and most of the people that we meet are nice and honest.... All that I'm saying is that we need to be smart and be careful! Dealing with hackers: 1. Use Alphanumeric password for all of your accounts and change them monthly. 2. Never click on links in emails. Forward all suspicious emails to spoof@ebay.com 3. Most hackers are teenagers from foreign countries and make bad spelling mistakes. 4. There is a new trend for hackers to take over real ebay customer accounts. You might get a message from a legit member through ebay asking for bogus refunds. My advice is: Don't respond and report it to ebay. You shouldn't have to enter your ebay id and password when clicking on "respond" to a message from an ebay member. Take a look at this: click here
