Have you ever heard of the Feufollet?Posted Jul-10-07 12:24:41 PDT Updated Jul-10-07 12:25:16 PDT Have any of you heard of the Feufollet or the Cajun fairies? There are fairies in our part of the South. I found this: Cajun Fairies are not in films, YET, but they are listed in Wikipedia. List of beings referred to as fairies From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Cajun Fairies (The Feufollet in French) are an American legend that emerged along the bayou as early as the 1920's with a light (a ball of fire) that shot out into the sky, likely derived from the same natural phenomena as the will o' the wisp. The lights were known as fairies, spirits and sometimes the ghosts of loved ones. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_beings_referred_to_as_fairies How about will o' the wisp? I use to think that a mosquito hawk was a fairy. TRUE! :) Maybe you call them dragon flies? But I fell in love with the wings. I never did see what the legend said about the eyes, but it's the story that was told to me. They were called the Feufollet.
