My response to the Book Reviews. See Blogs  Below:

I think of a bedtime story as those small books with big fonts that I read to my grandson - maybe 10-20 pages with many colorful photos. I agree the first book could be read to children, but for me, the part about the death of the mom was hard to tell them! I told one teacher I don't know how to handle this with elementary school children, so we skipped by that part and just talked about the talking animals.

Now, after placing the review in many places last night and today, I'm having a problem with the word spiritism! Google won't accept the word spiritism and the word adult! I have the books on Google Base and 5 other selling places to buy besides the publishers site.

This is not the word I would have used to discribe the way *I talk* for Madame Plume when she ventures into the swamps to get The Wizard of Swamp Alley who was kidnapped by "them". Plume has a magic wand. Plume has magical powers. This has nothing to do with religion to me! I never thought about religion at all when writing this one. To me, it's a fairy tale filled with magic. Magic is fantasy in the most delightful form!

I changed the word spiritism to spirits and Google would not take that either. So, I used the word magic, and then I could publish my books on Google Base.

But, I admire Sabne Raznik's review. She did read the books. I can tell when someone talks about the books if they did read them. When people get the Wizard mixed up for the Cajun Fairy---or Marie La Vie is the Queen, they did not read the books!

Sabne Raznik read my books, and she did a great job of understanding what I wrote, even if the dolls don't really care about time, except for the famous run-of-the-quilts. Time is irrelevant to them. Whether it be one year or a thousand years, they don't care. They've been here since the beginning of time.

But, I should NOT have placed an old photo of my mom and grandma with the DATE on it when they were young, in New Orleans, dressed as Plume and Poulette, and seen as humans. When the dolls enter human land, they are seen as human, and they lose their magial powers. Only the magic flying quilt retains its magic, so they keep that quilt safe and close to them, unless they will be stuck in human land. This date, of course, set a time. I learned something. :)

Then she understood very well the difference between the two lands in The Wizard of Swamp Alley. The Land of Lackluster is a horrible place!!! NOT at all like The Land of Sha Bebe, and she understood that! I told my husband that she DID read the books!!

She understands what I wanted to make people feel about the Land of Sha Bebe. :)

I can't summarize a story. I have a hard time doing that in a few words, and Sabne Raznik did this very well. I mentioned New Orleans in some of my short writings about the books, but I didn't send my words out to the public like I would accent the focal point in a room.... She did that well.

If anyone wants a review from Sabne Raznik, an honest review, which is what I wanted, she is the one to do it. I applaud her. But I don't care for the word spiritism.

It's magic! :)
