Mary Lynn's Cajun Swamp Alley-- Cajun Books- Sha Bebe Dolls- Cajun Fairies

Will you just read this~!!!!!!!!??????????????????

UNbelievable!   My shipping is staying as it is!   IF ebay doesn't start to worry about the SELLERS-- they won't HAVE any BUYERS!

Attention Sellers:
  Attention Seller!

We noticed your shipping cost looks high compared to other listings in your category with similar shipping services. .

We've found that buyers are sensitive to shipping costs. Items with high shipping costs may be less likely to sell and may get less visibility in search results. Listings that violate the eBay Excessive Shipping Charges  policy may be removed from the site.

Please review your shipping costs and make changes if necessary. For help, click the Research rates link in the shipping section.

Sellers may charge reasonable shipping and handling fees to cover the costs for mailing, packaging, and handling the items they are selling. While eBay will not prescribe exactly what a seller may or may not charge, eBay will rely on member reports and its own discretion to determine whether or not a seller’s shipping, handling, packaging, and/or insurance charges are excessive. Shipping and handling fees may not be listed as a percentage of the final sale price.

Sellers who want to be sure they are in compliance with this policy may charge actual shipping costs plus actual packaging materials cost (or less).

In addition to the final listing price, sellers are permitted to charge:

Actual Shipping cost: This is the actual cost (i.e. postage) for shipping the item.

Handling Fee: Actual packaging materials costs may be charged. A handling fee in addition to actual shipping cost may be charged if it is not excessive.

The last box I shipped I had to pay 1.05 more than I had listed. I figure 5.00 is not too high!!!!

It's staying!

Good morning, marylynn!

"While eBay will not prescribe exactly what a seller may or may not charge,..."

What the...? What is the message from eBay other than eBay dictating what a seller may or may not charge for shipping?

When I have bought things on eBay, I never had angst over shipping charges. Good grief. If I don't like the shipping charge, then I don't make the purchase.

Honestly, what's next? eBay telling sellers how much they can sell an item for?

Hi beaddance,

I was very upset last night. I've been upset with ebay since May 11th when they took everything OUT of my store for 14 days. I got my store back before that time, but I lost all of my hours I put into placing my photos and words in each listing! I had 93 items listed!!! ALL GONE! I relisted only 12 items, and then last night my shipping is too high!

I fixed an ebay account for a friend who lives in Thibodaux. She wanted to buy, not sell. Well, everything was fine until she bid 99 CENTS on one of my items. I was then accused of shill bidding, which makes NO sense to me!! She doesn't understand it either. I cried for two days! WHY anyone would want to BUY their own stuff, I don't know. She called herself missmuffin. You can check my feedback. She's not buying anything on ebay now!

I took their turorial so that I could get my store back. I saved all of it because I felt like suing, but who am I to sue THEM! I'm just a number! READ this one!!

Question: 12 of 13 Previous Next

It's against eBay policy to bid on your own items regardless of whether the bid is above or below reserve, and regardless of whether the item sells or not.

John lists 2 boats (#1 and #2), both with a $10,000 reserve price.

On boat #1, Alison bids $6,000 on the boat, but the Reserve Price is not met. To get the bidding higher, John places a bid himself at $7,000, using a different user name. Another bidder, Marlon, then bids $8000. The item doesn't sell successfully.

On boat #2, Dave bids $8000. John then bids $9000, using a different user name. Dave bids $10,000 and wins the boat.

Which, if any, of these boats was John involved in Shill Bidding on?
a. Neither. It's not Shill Bidding until reserve price is met.
b. Both. It's against eBay policy to bid on your own items.
c. Boat #1, but not Boat #2.
d. Boat #2, but not Boat #1.

I said BOTH~!!!BUT WHY does someone want to buy their own item??
WHY would someone WANT to pay FEES on

I'm much happier now, and I'm claiming my ROOM back as a sewing room ONLY------

NO ebay room for me. I spent three hours just taking my store OUT and placing two bids IN.....I'm Libra. I had to make SURE this is what I wanted, and it's what I want.

Have to go..

Love ya
