Maybe it's still early but the advanced feature and imputing our own css seems a tad confusing right now..lol Thanks for any help and HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Our Selling Philosophy..for what it's worth :)Posted Dec-29-07 09:25:10 PST Good Morning Everyone! We thought we would share just a bit about how we list and price our items and we would appreciate any and all comments or suggestions! Our experience from selling here is that we have to list our items at a price that is reasonable and fair to what we ourselves would expect to pay and of course always take into consideration what shipping cost would be added to the item to determine its value. This is part of selling online and if we expect to ship everything we sell then we also should expect potential buyers to factor in shipping cost before they decide whether the value of the item we are selling is worth making a bid on or purchasing. Listing an item for .99 trying to draw attention to an item may seem like a good idea, but over and over we have found that using this method of listing usually results in our item selling at far lower than it's actual worth, let alone retail value. Maybe we don't create the amount of traffic others do to .99 cent listings, but one thing we have found is that buyers on ebay who recognize a good price and don't expect us to sell at unreasonable prices are better customers to have. We never set reserve prices..ever..this seems to discourage bidders which is understandable. No one wants to bid and win an item and then find out they didn't meet the required price. Even the new "make an offer" option, at least in our opinion, tells buyers that a seller has inflated the prices or their item(s) and are willing to take less which is probably the item(s) actual worth anyways. We have found the one thing that makes a difference in selling on ebay..feedback. If you have satisfied customers who leave nice feeback, other potential buyers will trust that you are selling your items as they are described at fair prices. This obviously doesn't help new sellers and we wouldn't be honest if we said every sale we have made has gone perfectly well and easy..we can't speak for every seller on ebay but for us this is a lot of work and even though we have faced our share of challenges and have taken our lumps along the way, selling has progressively become easier as our feedback has grown over the past couple of years. Of course it does help that we have been blessed with very kind and decent customers who really are people much like us looking for good bargains and quality stuff from people they can trust :) Thanks and have a great day everyone!
