Halloween is Soon Here - Some Safety Reminders

Hey everyone,

YEAH!!!! HALLOWEEN IS ALMOST HERE!!! can you believe it is that time of year already whoa.  Well I for one am looking forward to Halloween, I can't wait to see the level of excitement on my childrens' faces, it so reminds me of when I was a child and I guess I use them as an excuse to be a kid for that day, lol.

Well as much fun as Halloween can be, unfortunately there can be a darkside if you aren't careful.  So SAFETY is the key word this Halloween, especially that of our children.  So here is a few reminders and general information to remember and simple precautions to take.

Parents

If you buy a costume, look for one made of flame-retardant material.

Older children should know where to reach you and when to be home.

You should know where they're going.

Although tampering is rare, tell children to bring the candy home to be inspected before consuming anything.

Look at the wrapping carefully and toss out anything that looks suspect.

Make your child eat dinner before setting out.

Children should carry quarters so they can call home.

Ideally, young children of any age should be accompanied by an adult.

If your children go on their own, be sure they wear a watch, preferably one that can be read in the dark.

Tomorrow I will put some safety tips up for children

Make sure you have a safe and fun Halloween
