The Frog's protest the FEE HIKE in ebay stores

In protest to the recent increase in ebay fee's for stores I closed my ebay store the other day. I launched this auction 120013163893 in protest to the increase. It's my way of telling ebay they can shove their new fee hike where the sun does not shine. Be sure to place the little frog's on your watch list and help them make the ebay pulse.

There are now over 200 Protest Listings which are being located through engine searches and have been reported by various media, and many more inside inventories... eBay must be held to deliver on the Promises which it implied to small storeowners!...ORGANIZE FOR FAIRNESS!! ...

I feel that eBay wants to "HIKE" the Store Sellers Fees, forcing us Store Sellers to terminate most of our Store Listings........eBay feels we should have more Auction Style Listings, as how eBay has been based upon that Feature. WELL.....if this is the case, then in all fairness, LOWER THE LISTING FEES FOR AUCTION!!!!!! Then maybe I would have 40 Auctions Listed and forget the Store! How can we make any cash at all with them "HIKEING" FEES?

I am closing! My rent is paid until midnight 8/14/06, I have everything marked down, called yesterday and talked to a CSR, because I had questions, she was very nice, but I got the impression that star_hollow is right on, there was not even a hint or a question about "WHY WAS I CLOSING"? I will still sell a few items a month on the main core site, but not near what I was doing. I still feel like they slapped me in the face, first they encouraged me to open, and then SLAP!!!!!!!

It really sucks, doesn't it? I took a lot of my books down and put them on paperback swap which is a site where I can just GIVE them away.

I'd rather just give them away to someone that wants them, so I can get a book in return, than just pay ebay to help me give them away and get nothing.

I have my own protest.

I've cancelled over 100 items (going on 200). Trying to diversify now (not going to put all my eggs in one basket any more).

eBay auctions have gone down the tube as far as I am concerned. The sales are too low. Most of my sales are from my store. I list items there with "Make an Offer" and I know that I actually get higher rates for my store items rather than auctions by doing that. I think eBay looks at that and thinks "hey, we missed the boat here! We didn't think the stores would go over that well!" So they hike the fees because they're greedy and they want more income out of the stores. I think they figured most folks would use the stores as an inventory parking site. I was surprised myself that I did so well in the store. Now they want us to go to the Pro Stores which is ridiculously high. I barely make a profit now with all the fees imposed on us. I'm one of the "low on the totem pole" Power Sellers. I just squeak by with $1,000 plus monthly gross. If they close down the stores for small business, a lot of us will have to go somewhere else. Can anyone recommend a web site?

It's just another example of big business putting the squeeze on the little guy. The only way they would EVER take notice is if everyone closed their store (which isn't going to happen)
I have over 3000 items in mine (and I downsized) and I do about 300 auctions a month. My eBays fees went from about $350 a month to over $600 this month.
I'm looking into getting a website and basically moving everything over to that, just keeping a bare minimum on eBay.
MY question is why hasn't anyone brought a class action suit against eBay for the little monopoly they have going with Paypal (they own it) Does anyone think it fair they collect listing and selling fees AND THEN a cut for using another one of their services??
