Most Recent Posts MOMSMICKEYS will be back soonPosted Mar-16-08 12:17:54 PDT Over the last couple months, as many of you know, I have been working 2 jobs, settling the estate, packing a 4 bedroom house (that may as well be 2 -3 bedroom houses for all the junk we have), selling on ebay & preparing to move. Honestly packing is not one of my favorite chores, so it has fallen way behind schedule. But now I find that I need to get a move on. LITERALLY! I need to move within the next couple of months. My boyfriend has deployed earlier (way earlier) than planned & I need to go back to Ohio where my family is. I need my support group. As soon as I get things settled in the new house I will start selling Mickeys again. But, as they say, don't hold your breath... it may not be until after January. Please know that I appreciate all of you & hope to see you again soon. VACATION!!!Posted Feb-18-08 13:10:42 PST Hi all! Just a quick note... MOMSMICKEYS is taking a short break. I won't be posting anything else this week. After the ones I have listed now, my next auction probably will not go off until March 4, 2008. Why, you ask? How can we possibly survive without a Mickey fix, you ask? What could be so important as to put all auctions on hold, you ask? Why...I have company coming. How...work extra hours to take your mind off of it & save your money for when I get back. What...not a what, a who. Special company is coming! This might be the last time I see him before he gets deployed & I'm sorry but I'm going to spend every waking moment that I can with him (& some not waking moments! hehehehe).
In the meantime, everyone have a great February & I will see you again in March. Don't worry if you're bidding on items that I have listed now. I've planned it so they all go off & can be shipped (with super duper speedy payment thank you!) before he gets here on Saturday. It'll be OK. Really it will. You'll make it through. I promise!
Love to all! Teresa I'd like your opinions...Posted Feb-14-08 00:29:12 PST I have a question for everyone... Do you, as a seller, require the buyer to feedback before you will leave feedback for them? I don't want to offend anyone, so if this is your policy please don't get mad. But I don't think that's fair. As a buyer, I pay as soon as an auction ends (if I am home & if I'm not waiting for other auctions). After that, my trust is with the seller. I have to trust that they will send my item(s) out in a timely manner. So basically as far as the seller is concerned, the buyers job is done. So why can't they leave feedback then? I recently purchased an item & with that item was a note telling me that when I left positive feedback for the seller, they would leave positive feedback for me. Why should I leave feedback to get it. That's not feedback. That's ransom! I refuse to leave feedback for this seller & any others that use this practice. No offense. But I have earned each & every one of my positive feedbacks & I'm proud of them. I don't want my buyers to wonder if I 'paid' for feedback or if that is actually how my buyers felt. Just my opinion!
BTW.... HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!! I'm not sure how many ebayers know about this...Posted Feb-10-08 00:52:38 PST Updated Feb-10-08 00:53:10 PST We've all been there. You find that perfect must have item on ebay. The auction ends Saturday at 3pm. Great! I don't have to work. I can bid, watch the auction & win! You look at the calander & inwardly yell CRAP!! Aunt Susie's next door neighgbor's dog groomer's nephew is getting married & you promised her you would take her. Now what? I found the greatest thing just for such an occasion. I'm not sure how many ebay buyers know about it but now I know everyone that reads my blog will know about....
unwiredbuyer.com
What a wonderfull thing! Now you don't have to be tied to the house just because that gotta have item is going off. And you don't have to place your bid too early & tip your hand. Unwiredbuyer will call you when there are about 3 minutes left in the auction. It will tell you the current price, if you are high bidder & you can even place bids over the phone. It's all password protected. You can tell them not to call during certain times, not to call if the price goes over a certain amount & you can pick which auctions they call you for. It works too! I've won many auctions this way. I work nights & it seems that most of my wanted items go off while I'm working. My phone rings, I type in my code & follow the directions. & I win! We all know that about 50% of the auctions are won in the last few minutes. Now you don't have to stay home all day. You can bid from the beach, the mall, the mechanic, the doctor or Aunt Susie's next door neighbor's dog groomer's nephew's wedding. Move over sliced bread! Unwiredbuyer has arrived!!!
Happy bidding everyone!
New Items are upPosted Feb-09-08 18:25:27 PST Well, I started going through Mom's salt and pepper collection this morning. They haven't been displayed for so long I had actually forgot that she had them. They haven't been out of storage for 25 years at least. She must have 100 or so sets. Of course some were broken during their time in the box. Whenever I find a broken one I will post a picture in the Salt and Pepper Shaker group & see if someone maybe broke the other one in their set. Tomorrow is a big day for the Mickey auctions. If you haven't yet, & I can't imagine why you haven't, checked out the Sporting Life series you better hurry. They all go off tomorrow. There are 21 in the series & they are ALL being offered. I don't usually list that many at once. I like to spread them out over a couple days but I just couldn't get into the SuperBowl this year & I got carried away. Good Luck to all bidders. Thanks for the wonderful comments. I thought I would just be writing this to waste time that I should be spending packing. Never imagined anyone would read it. Don't get spoiled & expect something every day though. LOL OK, I off to work. Everyone get some sleep & rest up for another big day of bidding tomorrow. Good luck in all your auctions!
