The Arizona Lottery changed the odds on at least two of its online lottery games.The game that I have played most often, The Pick 5, has made it harder to win the jackpot. There were a total of 35 numbers to choose from as of April 19, 2008. On April 20, the total number became 39. They added only four more numbers, but the odds changed significantly. They added a new way to win: match 2 of the five numbers drawn and win $1. The overall odds of winning a prize improved from 1 in 72 to only 1 in 10. It sounds like a major improvement. If you want to spend a dollar to win a a dollar, this is the game for you. I have decided to no longer play Pick Five, which was once called Fantasy 5. The top prize in Pick 5 is at least $50,000, but it rolls over if there is no jackpot winner. The odds of winning the jackpot WERE one in 324,632. By adding four more numbers, the odds of winning the top prize are now one in 575,757. Imagine looking at 3 black plastic cups, turned upside down. Underneath one of those cups is a white ball with the word jackpot written on it. All you have to do is pay $1.00 to guess which black cup has the jackpot ball and you will win $50,000 or MORE. The odds are one in three of guessing correctly. I would play that game! Now imagine standing in the middle of a very large field. On that field you see thousands of black cups turned upside down. I’m not talking just thousands, but 575,757. You pay only $1 to guess which black cup has the white jackpot ball. If you find it, then $50,000 or more is all yours. That doesn't sound like a game I want to play. Now think about standing somewhere in the middle of Death Valley looking at millions of the black cups. Underneath one is the white jackpot ball. If you pick the right black cup that has the jackpot ball, you will win a bunch of money. Each guess will cost you only $1. How many black cups do you have to choose from? If you’re  playing The Pick, another Arizona Lottery game, you will be choosing your black cup from a total of 7,059,052 cups. You can also pay $1 to choose from 146,107,962 black cups. If you guess the correct cup that has the jackpot ball, you win the Powerball jackpot. If you are going to play the lottery in Arizona, or in the state where you live, you'll likely have a better chance of winning playing the scratch ticket games. "Smallville"  This show has great acting with Tom Welling playing Clark Kent, now in his post high school days. Michael Rosenbaum plays Lex Luthor. Kristin Kreuk plays Lana Lang and Allison Mack stars as Chloe, an excellent character. One of the highlights of this series are the special effects. I would love to buy a three or four DVD set that contains nothing but the effects from seasons one through six. It would be great if there was a brief introduction saying which season the scene is from and which episode it comes from. I am grateful to Joe Shuster and Jerry Siegel for their awesome contribution to pop culture:

Is anyone selling an issue of Justice League of America  (JLA) from February of 1972? It is issue #96 and it was about a villain called Starbreaker, The Cosmic Vampire. I am also looking for issue #97 and #98. I believe that issue #96 was the first comic that I ever bought. I sold it a long time ago, but I would like to get it again if it's not too expensive.

I recently bought the DVD with former Vice-President Al Gore, Jr called An Inconvenient Truth. The movie was released in US theaters on May 24, 2006 and was released on DVD on November 21, 2006. The movie grossed about $24 million in the US and about $48.5 million worldwide (including the US gross). Al Gore, Jr. was born March 31, 1948 in Washington, DC. He does an awesome job of getting the attention of common folk, like me and perhaps like you. I plan on promoting this DVD on my main website called El Mundo De Monte Mendoza. He makes the issue of global warming very clear and easy to understand. I do my small part to help reduce global warming by taking the bus as often as possible. I plan on spending more time reading and studying about this issue and other environmental issues as well. There is also an excellent song by Melissa Etheridge in the movie called I Need To Wake Up. One of the extras on the DVD is the video of that song that Melissa wrote and performs. That song is on certain copies of her greatest hits CD called The Road Less Traveled. It is song number 18 on those certain limited edition CDs. I have that CD, but it has only 17 songs, ending with I Run For Life, which is also an excellent song. Thank you Al Gore for inspiring me to make changes in my life that will in a small, but important way, impact our future. One for Best Feature Documentary and one for Best Original Song. This movie won several other awards also, which are listed in the link below for www.wikipedia.com . This is a perfect DVD to watch for Earth Day 2007 on Sunday, April 22, or for ANY day of the year...since every day truly needs to be Earth Day. I spent four hours of Earth Day 2007 picking up trash at a public park in Phoenix. I have been picking up trash year-round since 1974. I then came home and watched the DVD The Day After Tomorrow, the 2004 movie starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Dennis Quaid. Those two movies make a great double feature. On May 13, 2007, Sunday, I began reading the 328+ page softcover book by Al Gore. It costs $21.95 and it has a BUNCH of pictures, charts and graphs. If you want to order it, the ISBN for An Inconvenient Truth (the softcover book) is 1-59486-567-1. It should be very enlightening and informative. It was published in 2005.
