An Inconvenient Truth documentary with Al Gore, Jr.

I recently bought the DVD with former Vice-President Al Gore, Jr called An Inconvenient Truth. The movie was released in US theaters on May 24, 2006 and was released on DVD on November 21, 2006. The movie grossed about $24 million in the US and about $48.5 million worldwide (including the US gross). Al Gore, Jr. was born March 31, 1948 in Washington, DC. He does an awesome job of getting the attention of common folk, like me and perhaps like you. I plan on promoting this DVD on my main website called El Mundo De Monte Mendoza. He makes the issue of global warming very clear and easy to understand. I do my small part to help reduce global warming by taking the bus as often as possible. I plan on spending more time reading and studying about this issue and other environmental issues as well. There is also an excellent song by Melissa Etheridge in the movie called I Need To Wake Up. One of the extras on the DVD is the video of that song that Melissa wrote and performs. That song is on certain copies of her greatest hits CD called The Road Less Traveled. It is song number 18 on those certain limited edition CDs. I have that CD, but it has only 17 songs, ending with I Run For Life, which is also an excellent song. Thank you Al Gore for inspiring me to make changes in my life that will in a small, but important way, impact our future. I pray that you live a long life and that you continue this excellent mission that you are undertaking. For more information, see Al Gore's website called ClimateCrisis.net. There is a link below for that site. This movie won two Oscars. One for Best Feature Documentary and one for Best Original Song. This movie won several other awards also, which are listed in the link below for www.wikipedia.com . This is a perfect DVD to watch for Earth Day 2007 on Sunday, April 22, or for ANY day of the year...since every day truly needs to be Earth Day. I spent four hours of Earth Day 2007 picking up trash at a public park in Phoenix. I have been picking up trash year-round since 1974. I then came home and watched the DVD The Day After Tomorrow, the 2004 movie starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Dennis Quaid. Those two movies make a great double feature. On May 13, 2007, Sunday, I began reading the 328+ page softcover book by Al Gore. It costs $21.95 and it has a BUNCH of pictures, charts and graphs. If you want to order it, the ISBN for An Inconvenient Truth (the softcover book) is 1-59486-567-1. It should be very enlightening and informative. It was published in 2005.

Casio CTK-710 Electronic Keyboard Recall

I thought I would pass on the following recall to those who may own a CASIO CTK-710 electronic keyboard. There is a smoke or fire hazard with certain serial numbers of this model. The serial # can be found in the battery compartment. The ranges affected by the recall are 7030001 to 7040400 and 7041901 to 7043500. I had bought this model late in 2006, but returned it about three weeks later without ever opening the box.

You can get your serial number and then check online at

http://home.att.net/~elmundodemontemendoza/index.html

The site above is my site. I created it a long time ago. It's called El Mundo De Monte Mendoza. You can learn a lot about and what interests me at that site. If you have dial-up, it can take some time to load all the pictures on the site. I not only write about myself but I also have information and links on many different subjects. I write about suicide and where a person can call if they are suicidal. (Of course, in most areas, you can call 911 if you feel you are about to hurt yourself.) I also have info to help the homeless in the Phoenix, Arizona area. I have info for people that need help with a drug or alcohol problem. Much of the site deals with music and the artists that I really love, like Josh Groban, Steve Green, Chayanne, and many more. By the way, Chayanne has a new CD that came out on April 10, 2007. It has eleven songs. It is called "Mi Tiempo" and I believe that it is Chayanne's 20th CD.

I hope you have an awesome day. Strive to be the best person that you can be.

My site can be found by searching at Yahoo.com by entering this search term as ONE word: montemendoza

Thank you Steve Green for bring me back to my faith in Christ as Savior !!!

My favorite Christian singer, Steve Green, is on tour right now. He is not coming to Phoenix as best as I can see. If you want to see if he is coming to your area, check out his site shown below. If you are a Christian, and do not know his music, you may want to give the following CD a try. It's called, "Steve Green The Ultimate Collection". It has 2 CDs and 25 songs, including, from Disc ONE: "God and God Alone", "Household of Faith", "I Can See (On The Emmaus Road)", "Find Us Faithful", "Cherish The Treasure", "Broken And Spilled Out", "He Holds The Keys","A Mighty Fortress", "Enter In", and Disc TWO includes: "He Who Began A Good Work In You", "Embrace The Cross", "We Believe", "God Causes All Things To Grow", and "Oh, I Want To Know You More". I love the music of Josh Groban VERY much. However, if I was allowed to have only one CD to listen to for the rest of my life...it would be the 'Ultimate Collection' by Steve Green. Although, technically it is two CDs, it would hopefully count as one. On September 1, 1995, I fell away from my faith in Jesus Christ as Savior. I was very depressed and sad at that time of my life. I had prayed for things and those prayers were not being answered. I even prayed in Jesus' name as "The Bible" tells us to do. I finally lost all my faith in Christ and believed only in God from that point on. That was the bad news...losing my faith in Jesus. The GREAT news is that during my time of not following Christ, I heard the songs of Steve Green in my head nearly every day and often MANY times each day. I would also find myself singing his songs, even though they were about The Son of God, Jesus Christ, someone that I no longer believed in. This went on for many years. The love of Christ finally overpowered me on October 2, 2005. After more than ten years believing only in God, I asked Jesus to again come into my heart an to be my Lord and Savior. Although I still haven't had my prayers answered the way "I" would want them answered, I have learned to 'trust in God always", and to trust in Him for the rest of my life here on Earth. Also, to have faith in my Lord Jesus Christ no matter what obstacles I may face in the future. Thank you Steve Green and to those who wrote the many songs that you sang. Your music has saved my life in more ways than I can say and I am eternally thankful. Thank You God for never giving up on me. God will always love each of us and never give up on us despite the things we do in our lives. We have a loving God and a Wonderful Savior, Jesus Christ.
