Most Recent Posts Old movie theater seats foundPosted Jun-23-06 18:41:36 PDT We uncovered some old movie theater seats. These are probably from the 1940's originally. The sides are a cast iron and the backs are a curvy moulded wood. The upholstory looks like it was recovered in the 60's. They're in groups of 3 or 4 bolted together. We will sell them for about $150 per group. They need to be picked up in Connecticut or Boston. Email us for pictures at info@mostlyposters.com WAREHOUSE FIND! We've uncovered a major stash of original promo posters in a dormant warehouse.Posted Jun-21-06 21:10:23 PDT Updated Jun-21-06 21:19:07 PDT This is the former warehouse for the major supplier to poster galleries and collector shops in the 70's and 80's. These were NOT produced for sale but rather for promotional use. We expect to catalog and photograph over 50,000 posters but this will take some time. So far we know there are a lot of original movie one sheets, some dating back to the 40's and alot of rolled 80's stuff. We found a large group of vintage travel posters dating from the 50's and 60's. There are thousands of 8x10 movie stills going back to the 1930's. Looks like some original World War II posters too. Quite a stash of pressbooks from the 60-70's plus complete lobby card sets. We will us this space to add full details as we incover more. Please contact us with your interests. |
