Hello! Do you know what violin might be good for a beginner, a young beginner like between 3 and 6 years old? =)

Hi alberta_arts,
The Cecilio brand violins have a fair tone and they are rugged, for about the same price the Santini brand violins have the best tone (if you can find one). I would suggest a 1/2 size, violins are like shoes - you want room to grow. One last suggestion, 80% of beginning students give up due to poor sound - high quality rosin and strings will remedy that problem. I am glad you posted and hope to hear from you again.

Hi ladybugburns,
Nice plants, I am trying to look at everyone's items for sale - so far we are a very diverse group. My outlook will remain the same fun, friends and fiddlin till the end.

Hi and welcome,
Now that My World is officially in operation, I look forward to your questions, comments and opinions. Feel free to post a photo of your favorite Violin/Fiddle or project - let me know if you used fittings/parts from my store. I will be adding a photo of myself as soon as I can get someone to take one at a Fiddlin contest.
P.S. Please mention the state or country you live in.

Hey! Just got the rosewood tailpiece, button, and pegs (for my violin project) today! I really like the depth to the wood you got from the rosewood - looks like you can actually see "into" the wood! Nice job!!

Now I need a violin kit (to build and/or just assemble)! (lol) I used to make wood boxes out of stuff like black walnut, maple (figured), red oak, purpleheart (now there's a wood for you next tailpiece/peg set!), etc. I've always wanted to try my hand at luthiery, so here goes! Any leads on such a kit (violin), besides the meager few on eBay?

Matt D.

Hi Tourmcutter,
As for the Violin kits, there are many companies supplying them on the web - International Luthiers supply is a good source. I search diligently for quality Rosewood to send to the manufacturer, the standard Indian and Chinese Rosewoods lack any depth - I have found Burma and the Philippines to be the best sources of high quality woods.
Good luck on your projects.

Hi again, Sir! I am very satisfied with all items you sent me.But I have a little problem: the violin mute. How can I apply in my fiddle? It was easier start playing irish music than try to use violin mute. Of course it's my fault, but I'm sure you can teach me, I hope so. Waiting for your answer, I salute you! Yours sincerely, mcd-2007 (Michel Delmenico, from Spain)
