WELL THIS MORNING I WAS GIVEN AN OPORTUNITY I COULD NOT REFUSE.................. THIS MORNING I WAS OFFERED A 8 MONTH OLD BLUE MERLE COLLIE,SHE'S VERY TIMID AND SHE NEEDS TRAINING,BUT I COULDN'T LET HER STAY WHERE SHE WAS..... SHE'S VERY INTELLEGENT AND VERY,VERY,VERY PRETTY.... SHE'S CALLED DAISY AND HAD BEEN A STRAY IN IRELAND,BEFORE SHE WAS BROUGHT OVER HERE TO BE RE-HOMED THROUGH THE DOGSTRUST AT SNETTERTON....(DOGSTRUST.ORG.UK) BUT I DIDN'T HAVE THE HEART TO ALLOW HER TO STAY IN A KENNELS...SHE WASN'T DOING VERY WELL IN THERE AND NEEDED A HOME TO GIVE HER LOVE AND UNDERSTANDING,SO WE ARE GOING TO GIVE HER A LOVING HOME...... I KNOW THAT I MISS KATIE DEARLY AND NO DOG WILL EVER REPLACE HER,BUT I COULDN'T LET THINGS GO ON THE WAY THEY WERE WHERE DAISY WAS................ SHE IS A SMALL DELICATE FRAMED COLLIE AND HAS ONE BLUE EYE AND ONE BROWN EYE,SHE'S VERY FRIENDLY ONCE SHE GETS TO KNOW PEOPLE.......BUT THE DOGS HOME DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT HER APART FROM THE FACT THAT SHE'S MISERABLE IN HER PRESENT STATE...SHE NEEDS FEEDING UP A BIT,AND NEEDS TRAINING BUT BOTH MYSELF AND MY PARTNER HAVE ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD TO TEACH HER HOW TO BEHAVE,AND WHAT SHE CAN AND CAN'T DO IN OUR HOME..... SHE WILL BE FEATURING IN DOGGYSNAPS.CO.UK WITHIN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A LOOK,LOOK AT DAISY'S KENNEL. I DO FEEL GUILTY ABOUT GETTING A NEW COMPANION BUT I KNOW SHE WILL BE A GOOD ADDITION TO OUR FAMILLY AND WILL BE LOVED AND CARED FOR............AS WELL AS THAT SHE WILL BE WORKED!!!!! THANKS WILL LET YOU ALL KNOW HOW WE ARE DOING!!! HELENA. What a disasterous week!!!!Posted Apr-18-08 12:53:58 PDT Evening ladies and gentlemen, Well this week has been a total disaster, and I have been in tears for most of this week................... On monday,my best friend katie got sick(she's a dalmation),She wouldn't stop being sick and couldn't keep anything down...her stomach was as tight as a drum and she was very wobbly on her legs,We took her straight down to the Vets for an instant help.... But she wasn't getting any better,It took the vets 2 days to diagnose that she had a condition that affects humans ,cats, and dogs....Katie had pancreatitus, As it turns out it is very hard to diagnose, and very hard to treat,It can strike anybody anywhere and you could have just one attack in your lifetime,or have it for the rest of your life!!!! This illness causes liver, kidney and heart damage if the case is very severe,The easiest way to diagnose this is if the enzymes and lipids are at high levels in the bloodstream..... Katies case was an acute attack and as it had turned out it wasn't the first time she had had this illness..... So on Thursday April 14th at 9.30 am. Katie,my best friend and companion, passed away in her sleep. She was 5 years old,And I am devastated......................... I know that the wounds are raw right now,and I know that Things will get better but i miss her.... I am only writing this to try and give myself somesort of record that she added value to my life and others around her. Thankyou for your time, helena. ITS APRIL AND ITS DRIVING ME NUTS!!!Posted Apr-14-08 09:15:56 PDT Good evening people, Well its April and its driving me nuts....The flaming weather doesn't know where its backside hangs one minute the weather is gorgeous and the next its thunder and lightening!!! Well enough whinging...now how do i start...... Well have learnt a few new techniques this week and have had fun doing them.... have learnt what to do with my left over wool and written a guide on it..the effect is stunning!!! But the most valuable piece of information I have to give the world is if you find that wool doesn't quite match the needles don't be afraid to go one size down or one half size down....it will make the wool easier to knit and give you perfect tension for the pattern..... I have decided to make a cream dress this month and because its lace its a case of so far so good...have mastered the lace pattern and can now do it in my sleep....am looking forward to doing the top and waist band as the lace pattern is completely different and looks complicated but its easy...all i can say about knitting lace is don't be afraid to breakeach line down ino bite size pieces and make it easier on yourself!!!! right time to go the lace skirt is calling me...... bye!!!! HALF TERM HELP,SORRY HELL!!!Posted Apr-01-08 09:12:47 PDT hI GUYS WELL ITS HALF TERM AND THE KIDS ARE......YES YOU GUESSED IT BORED,BORED,BORED!!! THE DAUGHTER ROBYN HAS SPENT MOST OF THIS WEEK BURIED IN A BOOK OR HER KNITTING.........HER BEDROOM LOOKS LIKE A CLOTHING BOMB HAS HIT IT!!!! AND AS FOR MY BABY TOMAS,HE'S SPENT MOST OF THE WEEK DIGGING IN THE GARDEN SORTING OUT HIS LITTLE BIT OF GARDEN....HE'S GOT POTATOES IN A RE-USED COAL BAG,OREGANO,CARROTS IN A BUCKET OF SAND AND RUNNER BEANS GROWING IN HIS HERB PATCH,WELL,IT WOULD BE A HERB PATCH IF THE DOG HADN'T EATEN THEM!!!
