Here's my first post on this blog, let's hope its a good one :)

I'm in the process of planning a trip to TurningStone Resort and Casino with a few of my buddies for next weekend. We're hoping to head up on Wednesday in the morning, and staying until Sunday night. Last time we were up there we had a blast, and I'm hoping this trip will be just as exciting.

The reason we're going is for the Heartland Poker Tour. This is a poker series similar to the WPT, except that it's all on the East Coast instead of all over the world. However, the tournaments still have some serious money involved.

There are three tournaments at TurningStone for the HPT. The first is a $500 buy-in, the second is a $700 buy-in, and the third is a $1,500 buy-in. The third one is the main event, and is televised locally, so all of us are hoping to satellite into that to get a chance to be on TV.

Although TurningStone isn't one of the best online casinos, I really like it because its local, and they have amazing customer service, especially if you stay in the Lodge. The Lodge is a four star hotel attached to the casino, and they offer suites for high rollers that blow away most hotel accomodations.
