Most Recent Posts I'm telling ya, in 2008.......Posted Sep-26-07 11:48:56 PDT Only to hark back to a previous blog; Last weekend was my 2nd serious attempt to cultivate a new look with a sharper dress sense for the backend of 2007. To breathe gusto into the commitment I went to my wardrobe and emptied 60% of shirts, tees and jeans into bag ready to ship out to our local recycle store. I rocked into the city and walked around the male fashion stores - now there´s that great oxymoron again - for about 3 hours, saw a lot of everything cut conservatively in dark green and gray and then all of a sudden I just gave up. The final act was to return home and drag half of my old stuff out of the bag with total disregard for the plight of St Vincents, press the creases and put it back in the wardrobe. I´m tellin ya in 2008, us men are gonna want that cowbell.
One of those days...I´m eBored.Posted Sep-21-07 06:28:21 PDT Ever had a day where you peer back at your internet connection and go "what is all this crap really doing for me?" I´m in that space today, so I´ll log off, go down to the beach , buy a beer, face-off with people and explore the options. The gene that keeps on keeping on.Posted Sep-14-07 05:21:54 PDT Yahoo´s front page new´s section today is fantastic! "Flat bun burgers add -too racy for TV", "Too salty burgers land woman in jail ", "NYC to list calories", "LA to freeze fast food". It surely has to be more than political correctness...Maybe its just the resurfacing of that good ol puritan gene that kicks back and cycles around in the American bloodline every couple of decades. You know the gene that I´m talking about? It´s the one that defies explanation and any sense of rationality.
Thanks for the memories Joe.Posted Sep-12-07 12:58:46 PDT Updated Sep-12-07 13:00:05 PDT It wasn´t big news yesterday, certainly not as widely covered as how Britney blew her lip-sync...but Joe Zawinul died. Saudades Joe e muito obrigado por tudo. Gostei sua musica. Days like this.Posted Sep-11-07 07:25:49 PDT Updated Sep-11-07 07:47:06 PDT Ever had a day when you just stand gobsmacked and in total awe of the surroundings of where you live? The view today from where I live, thats across the Guanabara Bay onto the Sugar Loaf Mountain, is sheened by crystal blue waters and the reflections from little fishing boats; the statue of Christ the Redeemer is clear to see on top of the Corcovado, the backdrop is a blue, cloudless sky.....I mean wow, incredible one day, totally magnificent the next. You know days like this?......so where do you live?
