All of these facts about babies, nurseries, decorating, and comfort I know from years of experience. I have 3 children, do interior design, and manufacture upholstered furniture for adults and children and also bedding and crib sets. I know what baby products were available when my children were little and I make what is available in stores today. But the meaning of my company came into focus when my sister became pregnant. Of course, I couldn't wait to help her decorate her nursery. My retail store had all the furniture and accessories she needed and then I made her crib set and upholstered furniture. Immediately her rocker glider became something she couldn't do without. While she was pregnant it was a place to read and rock and pray. Toward the end of her pregnancy she slept in the chair when laying flat in bed wasn't always comfortable. During labor she would walk around and then sit and rest between contractions. And then finally and best of all, the baby came home and her chair became a place of joy. Soon there was a rocker glider in the nursery, her bedroom, and family room. Now I know more than ever the importance of what I do. When I see my nephew peacefully nursing while my sister rocks him in a chair I made for her or when I see him sleeping in his crib surrounded by the soft fabrics of the crib set I designed and made just for him, I hope that all Moms know what a difference a good product and design can make.
