The Holiday Spirit

You know, I love the holidays. It brings out the best in people. People you know and people you don't know tend to go out of their way to help you, or say that little nice something that makes your day. For me, well I've had that happen in real life but never online before. But this year I was surprised. I bid on something and the person running the auction turned out to be the nicest person. They gave me extra on my auction and just made the whole transaction enjoyable. I think this was probably the first time a person I bought from online here actually wished me Happy Holidays. Nothing against some of the other people I've auctioned with in the past but well....it's nice to have that special extra touch. To know that the auction isn't just a buisness taken care and then dismissed. Its nice to be noticed.

Noticing is something I try to do alot of though, even outside the holidays. I always thank the mailman when I see him, or give the garbage men who come to collect my trash a little something extra like hot choclate, etc sometimes and especially around holidays. You would be surprised how often the little people are ignored. The people who run the toll booths around my home are always shocked when I give them candy canes along with money as I go through the toll roads. But its a nice feeling to shock people in a nice way. And they definitely would take it for granted if it happened everyday. I guess its just a good thing to keep optimistic through the whole rest of the year and save the really special moments for the holidays. So here's wishing you Happy Holidays and I hope that something special happens to make your day today.

Intro Ebay

Ebay is a great place. I am so into the slogan "Shop Victoriously". It really is a great feeling when you win an auction and the item is something you dearly want. Still, the flipside of that coin is the other bidders. There can only be one winner after all, and the other bidders have to find their treasure somewhere else. I always feel bad about that even though it is an auction. Still, the bidding does go on and I myself have found lots of great items over the years. I've completed collections, and learned a great many things along the way. One of those things is the importance of what you buy. I now no longer buy things for a chance at a higher price tag, but because I simply will enjoy whatever item I am after. I like to think that Ebay is a kind of learning experience even as its an shop/auction site. I bet there are many peole who would agree with me.
