As a buyer if I buy from you rest assured I always try to pay immediately if it is not going to be an immediate payment I always contact the seller to let them know if I am watching their other items or bidding on another item and let them know when to expect payment.That I feel is common courtesy.

When I make my payment I always request to let me know when the item is being shipped so that I can watch for it.When I receive my purchase I leave feedback or if I should have a problem I contact the seller and allow them to fix it. To be honest I don't think I have ever had a problem that hasn't been handled professionally from the seller. I always leave feedback for my transactions.

As a seller what you can expect is this. I always try to answer any and all questions I am asked in a reasonable amount of time. I can't be online 24 hrs a day but I am usually checking my ebay 3 or 4 times a day minimum.Whenever I go into Ebay I always check for any messages first .

I try to send all invoices promptly. If somone should pay before receiving an invoice I promptly send them a personalized thank you and let them know when I am shipping their purchase. After their item has been shipped I send a shipping notification and leave positive feedback for prompt payment this feedback also shows the date the item has shipped.

I always clearly post my shipping cost on my labels and do not charge a handling fee. If for some reason it cost me less to ship than you paid I will issue a partial refund for any overpayment on shipping.I hate to pay the Post Office and I know you do too, so for that reason I try to ship your items in the lightest packaging available and still make sure your items are safe and secure.

I typically ship my items the day I receive payment if it is a business day at the very latest the next day as I don't always have a vehicle available to go to the Post Office .

I try to be very careful when I do my listings and state any flaws that I see in my items. I am however human and may miss something . I am not perfect and would not intentionally deceive anyone. Used clothing that I sell rest assured if I would not put it on my family I would not sell it to you for yours. I am  a very easy person to work with and will gladly refund your item cost and shipping if I have grossly misrepresented an item I have sold you but only if it is an error on my part. I do request that the items in question be returned to me so that I may reexamine them myself before any refunds are issued.Return shipping is at buyers expense unless it is a fault of mine that makes the return neccessary.

I know not every seller on ebay handles their business the same way I do and I respect that and I am always looking for ways to improve.

I always treat others the way I wish to be treated.

Life in Lake Placid		add to favorites
Just a glimpse into the town I call home. for those of you who thought the only Lake Placid was in New York don't feel bad I didn't either until I moved here. Lake Placid is a small town along Rte 27 in Highlands County Florida famous for its murals and caladiums. The murals in our town are handpainted on the sides of various buildings and each one depicts a moment of our towns history They are truly fabulous and a sight to behold. Probably the one that stands out most in my mind is the one on the side of Winn Dixie which depicts a cattle drive. As you pull along side this mural you hear all the sounds you would hear on a real cattle drive. These murals bring thousands of visitors a year from all over the country. We are located on the Cracker Trail and yes we have real cowboys. As you walk through our small downtown you can walk in and browse our local gift shops where you can find many beautiful  items from handpainted pictures from local artists to knickknacks and trinkets for your home or souveniers of your trip. We are also noted as the Caladium Capitol of the World. We have a caladium festival every year where we have hundreds of vendors displaying their beautifully handcrafted wares  and also have trips to view our beautiful caladium fields in full bloom. Lake Placid is very small town friendly and will probably remain that way for many years to come as our town board is very selective about large businesses coming in. We have our drugstores and our grocery stores and all of our quaint mom and pop shops and a hardware store but if you want to do any big shopping you have to drive 20 miles north to Sebring home of Sebring International Speedway. We are also surrounded by many beautiful lakes for the fishing and boating enthusiast. For those of you who do not know me I thought I would give you a little insight.

First I am a single grandmother to 4 beautiful grandchildren who I am helping my daughter raise to be good people.They are a handful at times but beautiful nonetheless. We try as a team to encourage them in anyway we can to always do your best and treat people the way you like to be treated.They have a strong faith in Jesus and attend church on a regular basis.

I have worked hard all of my life and never have had anything handed to me.You see I was raised by my wonderful grandparents. We were a very poor family but we were always happy. My grandmother was the most awesome person you would ever want to meet. She was forced into retirement at the age of 71 she had a hard life but always kept smiling no matter what. My grandfather was paralyzed on his right side at a very young age but learned to walk with a cane and loved working in his garden. He had the most beautiful  flower gardens I have ever seen.I miss them both terribly!

As far as my parents, who I still miss dearly,they were divorced before I was a year old . my father also lived with us as children but he was an alcoholic and even though he contributed to the household finances he wasn't around much. My mother went her own way she too was an alcoholic. we spent summer vacations with her and some weekends. You see even though they may not have been the best parents they left us to the care of the 2 best people on earth for that I will always be thankful. I lost both of my grandparents when I was in my late twenties and lost both of my parents within the last 3 years they died a year and a half apart.

I am originally from NY and moved to Florida when my mother became ill and wanted 1 of her 8 children nearby. I still miss being in NY and may some day God willing move back there. Life in Florida has been financially hard on me for a lot of reasons the cost of living here is much higher than it was in Central NY also my mobile home in Palm Beach County was destroyed by Hurricane Wilma after being repaired from hurricanes Jeanne and Francis I have endured surgery for a bowel obstruction and a year later broke my ankle in 3 places requiring surgery to fix. I am not telling you this to get  your sympathy or financial help just want you to know what my life has been like.

Before I started selling on EBAY I worked full time plus as a waitress my entire adult life sometimes putting in 70 hrs a week. Now I sell on ebay and watch my 4 grandchildren so that my daughter does not have to pay daycare. Is ebay a job Yes and I am still learning everyday to try and better my business so that I can still help my family financially. It has been a long hard road but with Gods help I will make it.I am one of the most honest sincere people you will ever meet and my firm believe is that if you are honest and work hard you will succeed . You see it never pays to be dishonest because it will always come back to bite you in the butt!
