Holiday Shopping on eBay - Buying AND Selling!!!!Posted Nov-11-07 10:11:48 PST Wow, I am always amazed at how things pick up at this time of the year. 28 items have sold in the last 31 days. My sister gave me a number of quilting patterns, fabric, magazines, etc. to sell for her. She has a check coming for $150 so she is thrilled as that will be Christmas shopping money for her. As for my holiday shopping, I have been taking advantage of eBay like crazy! LOL I bought several Tastefully Simple lots of samples to put together a basket for my other sister, a biscotti jar my Mom will love, silicone bakeware for myself and a Wii for the family (dying to try it out before Christmas!!!!) My gf was bemoaning the fact that she was trying to find a new butter dish. One she really liked was $35! So I told her she should check eBay and I did a search for them. The number was well over 2000! She found the exact one she had seen for $35 with a starting bid of .99. I have done the same this season with several things. I have been in the stores or online and have seen a product I was interested in buying but it was too expensive. Came home, checked eBay, found it much cheaper, bought it and wait for it to come! It is a blast getting all these packages and not having to be out in the stores, too. I wasn't happy when eBay raised their listing fees, etc. for the stores but what makes it awesome to me is the other sellers. Every now and then I run across one that is not too great but, for the most part, the sellers are honest, hard-working individuals who try very hard to make sure the sale is a positive experience!
