Most Recent Posts Happy FridayPosted Jun-20-08 06:27:59 PDT Updated Jun-20-08 06:28:56 PDT Yesterday was very busy and today is not starting out much better. I am going out of town over the weekend, which means extra listings today. Well I did get some Halloween Patterns up, among them Murky Mansion and Monster March, which I talked about yesterday and also the Nutcracker Ballet Ornaments. I sure cannot wait to start stitching them. So much to do and so little time. But for this weekend I will be going back in time to Medieval times. It will be a wonderful change. And then Sunday it will mean back to the grindstone and catching up what I missed. Well along with the ebay business I am trying hard to have time for some stitching and knitting. And I am also working on our house. We are restoring a Victorian Mansion all while we are living in it as well. Well we have the first floor finished and are working on the 2nd floor. Can't wait until the 2nd and 3rd floors are finished, especially since that 3rd floor will be my Studio, for stitching, sewing, ebay business, etc. It will be great having space just for that. Well some day. It is slow going but every time another room gets finished you see that it is well worth the effort and time, and skin etc. Stripping wood just does wonders to your skin, Ha Ha! It's just good all the merchandise is at Nancy's house. No chance of saw dust , stripper or paint fumes etc. to touch the merchandise. For it is most important to us that YOU the customer gets the best quality merchandise at the best prices. Well I better get back to work so I can take my trip! Have a great weekend and let us know what you want to see both on the Blog as well as in the Store. Happy Stitching Nancy and Elisabeth
Good Morning and our first postingPosted Jun-19-08 04:38:13 PDT Updated Jun-19-08 13:27:26 PDT This is our first time blogging. We are starting this blog to give all the Cross Stitch Fans a place to get together and share ideas and experiences, to ask questions, to post helpful hints, and just to chat about progress on the newest project. But we are also starting this blog to see what YOU, our customers, want to see, and how we can improve our service to you! We will be posting new Halloween and Christmas patterns and kits soon. Yes, it is only June and we are doing that, but we are trying to give you, the Stitchers, time to get that involved Haunted House stitched in time for Halloween, or have the two new editions for the Mill Hill Christmas Village done and framed to go with the last two years pictures. For small projects that are easily portable you may want to stitch one of the new Mill Hill Ornaments. This year they brought out six Nutcracker Suite Ornaments and six Message Ornaments. Both sets are so cute. The Nutcracker ones made me feel nostalgic and transported me back in time when I saw the Nutcracker Ballet for the first time, and then on the trip down memory lane, when I saw it the first time with my daughters. Uncle Drosselmeyer, Clara, the Mouse King, the Prince, the Sugar Plum Fairy, and of course the Nutcracker all came to life in my minds eye, as I was looking at those ornaments. And of course my mind started racing with ideas and possibilities: Making Christmas Cards with these ornaments. Covers two things at once: A Card and a token gift, since the recipient can easily remove the ornament from the card and hang it on their tree..... Well as I said my mind is racing with all the possibilities. And the same thing for all the little message ornaments. But before Christmas there will be Halloween. Cheryl Grande from Glendon Place outdid herself this year with 2 new patterns she is releasing in a few weeks: Monster March and Murky Manor. She gave us a preview and permission to pre-sell and so our customers can be among the first to receive them. Both are fabulous and will join her other Halloween patterns like: Grimm, Glum and Gloom on Halloween (which is being discontinued Too Bad!!!!), Witching it was Halloween, A ghostly Gathering, Frankie the Thinker, Mr. Bone Jangles, Vinny the Vampire, Whooo's there, Pretty Pumpkins and a sociable Scarecrow. Look for all these patterns in our auctions and store in the next days. Let me tell you the photos just do not do these pictures justice. They are really fabulous and soooo detailed! Well I better run and get to writing some listings. Please comment and send your questions and requests. We are here to help you with your cross stitching needs! Happy Stitching and wishing YOU a fabulous and productive day Nancy and Elisabeth
