I recently sold two motorcycle helmets in October. The winner left very nice feedbacks and I thought that was the end of it. Recently I noticed that my number dropped from 34 to 33 and when I checked I saw that this winner had now left 2 negative feedbacks. I was stunned and shocked. Especially since it says all Feedback is final and cannot be changed.
The winner was not happy about the handling charges. However, during the bidding they asked how much to ship to their zipcode. So I told them and when they won the bid, they automatically sent just the shipping fees with the winning bid, before any invoice or any contact. I was taken aback because it cost money to wrap and secure the items and then to drive them any distance to the Post Office, or UPS, or whatever means of shipping.
I work at the Olive Garden and believe me, there are people that no matter what you do, they will find fault because they know how to work the system and get it for free. We give free meals away all the time. But not to hardworking honest people, just the other ones.
So know, whenever I sell something through eBay, I will only take checks (with a 10 day hold) or Money Orders and when quoting any shipping, will know to add the handling fees.
