It is one of the two instruments that came to our shop for an online auction. The second instrument listing will be up, hopefully by the end of tomorrow, a light yello violin labeled Fiorni. Our big shop item, a violin by Maurizio Tadioli, finally sold to a happy customer. The Tadioli has created quite a buzz as we've had a number of calls to the shop last week, all inquiring about the instrument. Don't worry, we'll hear back soon as to when the next instrument comes home to our shop. For those of you who can't wait, shoot us an email about the Quranta violin that is in our shop. We hope to get some photos online and short description as well. On top of that, on Sunday, we outfitted three students with brand new string instruments under our rental program. -Ollavaca Violin Auctions for the WeekPosted Feb-07-07 23:27:22 PST As you can see, we currently have steady stream of items being listed on a weekly basis. The latest additions was an old viola case and violin by Job Ardern. The violin should keep bidders excited over the weekend as this is an instrument that's not only worth collecting but playing on it as well. Besides the usual task of uploading weekly eBay items, we are busy drafting a catalog of our entire shop item to teachers and dealers. It's the most comprehensive thing we have done since our annual inventory count. We plan to have this catalog available on our website in the near future. Other thing to note, we have started experimenting and tweaking our typical listing layout. Having to learn HTML seemed cumbersome at first but it's given us more control over visual flow of the layout like inserting pictures into the description or links to other sites. We would like some better features in these listings like sound clips of the instruments being played. Hopefully you'll see some improvements and we'll be get better as we go. -OllavacaeBay 2007 String Instrument Auction GoalsPosted Feb-07-07 23:25:08 PST Updated Feb-07-07 23:26:44 PST Currently we are putting together a list of goals for the year and our recent e-commerce success on eBay has lead to more specific goals.
