Most Recent Posts Yes, Virginia, there are freaks selling fake perfume.Posted Apr-23-08 11:13:10 PDT Updated Apr-24-08 11:47:10 PDT Relating to my earlier post, yes, there are alot of shady looking listings. Sorry, but it's true. Though, it does pose a question. If you buy a fake without knowing, and without ever smelling the original, how do you know it's a fake? I guess you wouldn't, unless it obviously doesn't smell the way it's described. But then again, that's a whole 'nother angle. Or, maybe it has an odd color/note/whatever, that you feel compelled to seek out a comparison sample or two. Honestly, I have had several ask me if my scents are authentic, and if I 'guarantee' that the scent is 'authentic', and I've been trying to decide how to address this question.
I have no way to guarantee them. You'll just have to take my word for it, just as I did when I bought it. All I can say is, I have no reason to believe they aren't the real thing (otherwise I certainly wouldn't try to sell them, & I would be really pissed even more about my credit card bill). Sniff on. Guides can be Crap aka "if it's in a Guide it must be true"Posted Apr-23-08 10:36:13 PDT Updated Apr-23-08 10:36:55 PDT So I'm browsing through some perfume.... 'guides'. Let's just call them 'MIS-Guides'. Now, I'm not saying they're all bad, most are actually pretty informative. But I've seen a few that are giving just totally wrong information. And the best part about it? There's not a THING ebay will do about it. I just hope perfume 'newbies' seek out second, third, even tenth opinions on things, and not rely on these MISguides for information. (Of course most people hopefully would realize that someone who spells perfume wrong multiple times probably doesn't know what they're talking about.) JMO.
the basicsPosted Apr-20-08 11:29:50 PDT Updated Apr-23-08 10:26:50 PDT No, I do not have fancy-schmancy listings. Yes, I cut to the crap and tell you what I'm selling No, I do not have an ebay store. Yes, I used to, and it was not financially necessary. No, I cannot offer 'fast shipping' or whatever that option is. Yes, I am a human being, with a life, and things happen. I refuse to offer something that I know in my heart is not guaranteeable (such as same-day shipping). No, I don't ship out of the United States, or offer any other form of payment. Yes, I have been burned in the past, and I need to keep things simple. Besides everybody needs a Paypal account, even if you don't use ebay. JMO. And truthfully, for me, to have to try to cash something is a pain in the butt. No, I don't charge a ridiculous amount for shipping. Yes, I will try to refund you if it does not cost as much as my estimate. Again, I am human. I would rather spend my time on here listing more items, so that you will have more choices, and I can sell more items (obviously), than making fancy-schmancy listings. I hope you understand. Also, if you have done a search and see that I have offered something that didn't sell, and you are interested in it, please contact me. I may still have it available. thanks. :-) |
