Most Recent Posts Bigger boxPosted Jul-28-08 07:22:24 PDT I received a broken Bonbon the other day. One sheet of bubble-wrap, stuck inside a priority mail envelope and wedged in the box with a few wads of newspaper. The seller, when contacted, said item was well packed and stuff happens - OH WELL. Apparently we have differing opinions regarding "well packed". When the box is no bigger than the item shipped, there is not adequate room for proper padding. SELLERS...USE THE PROPER SIZE BOX. GLASS NEEDS LOTS OF CUSHION! TAPEPosted Jun-29-08 07:34:18 PDT Tape, in all of its manifestations, is a marvel of the modern world. We use Masking Tape, Duct Tape, Packing Tape, Scotch Tape, Fiberglass Tape, HVAC Tape, Adhesive Tape, Double-sided Tape and on and on.
We use tape when we pack our glass for shipping. WE DO NOT NEED TO MUMMIFY OUR PACKAGE!!! Tape does NOT add to the security of our package. It does NOT add to the protection. It is a ROYAL PAIN ITA to remove and renders the Bubble Wrap useless for re-use. Tape is only needed to secure the loose end of the wrapping. I use shrinik wrap and, rarely, tape. SELLERS, LAY OFF THE TAPE. |
