Didn't realise this was just advertising space

Kinda says it all.  I will stop appealing to the higher aspects of ebayers.  Obviously you've swallowed the "make as much money as you can" ebay marketplace policy.  Because the more you sell the more ebay makes from you.  But hey, enjoy your stupidity and complacency - ebay only cares about your fees!  You know you can't disagree with me.  And I noticed they don't update these blogs with replies - so it is a totally useless site for serious ebayers.  I doubt I will be back.  enjoy your weekend fools

Life, The Universe Blah Blah Blah Pt 2

So once we all get rid of our religious superstition - then the world may be a better place.  Well, possibly.  It all depends upon the integrity of those who lead.  I ain't talking Tom Crusise, 2nd in charge of Scientology, or ex-Hitler Youth Pope or anybody who harbours hate for unbelievers in their particular brand of psychosis/religious devotion.

The promise of love (which is all religion is) should always be backed up with actions of love.

There is no way around that simple premise/idea.

If you love, you cannot help but love - even when you know the person is wrong.

But there must be a higher calling than our own personal feelings.

As far as I know, that higher calling is how we each as individuals deal with each other - honestly or dishonestly.

There is no alternative to honesty but dishonesty.

So I hesitatingly ask each person to honestly look at their life, their beliefs, their very own selves and to simply ask - "Have I been honest?".

Was it honest to accept an ex-Nazi Pope as Jesus representative on earth?

Is it honest for Muslim leaders to praise suicide bombers?

A Nazi preaching Christianity is akin to Osama Bin-Laden preaching forgiveness for heretics. It is just never going to happen. Period.

What are we all striving for in this life, universe, etc.?

What are we all striving for?  Is it simply a (slightly) better life for ourselves, children and loved ones?  Less mistakes than we had to suffer in our childhood/teenage/young adult and adult years?  Is that an unreasonable request?  I don't think so.

We mostly learn as we go along (unguided) throughout this life.  So far in life I have learnt that authority cannot be trusted under any circumstances if you are in any way a 'minority' person.  What do I mean?  Let me explain.

Democracy works on the assumption that your elected member will represent you.  But what if your elected member is a member of a religious organisition which forbids abortion under all circumstances (including rape/incest)?  Well, do you think he/she will consider your feelings as a rape/incest victim as paramount; or the policy of his/her church as regards abortion?  Whose rights will he/she stand up for - yours or his/her churches beliefs?

We all need to start really thinking about who is telling the truth - that's the simplest way I can say it.  But it really means we all need to start seeing through the massive amount of spin that almost everyone (from the politicians who run our world to the most insignificant petty thieves who scam on ebay) seems to be putting on every little thing they can.

I am thoroughly sickened by the total amount of dishonesty rampaging through everywhere on this planet atm.  I cannot now or for anytime throughout recorded history name an honest political leader/PM/President/King or Queen.  Is not that a very sad commentary upon the way we are all forced to live by the prima donnas who govern us by threatening us with automatic execution should we effectively disagree with them as absolute rulers in the human world?

P.S. For the religious zealots and bigots - may I ask why you gain pleasure in murdering 'heretics'?  What actually distingushes you from those zealots who supposedly killed your prophet?  Weren't they just killing another heretic according to the law at the time?

According to the Biblical (but not historical) reports Jesus was murdered by the state for usurping its authority and claiming to be the son of the only God.  He was apparantly murdered by an outpost of the very same Romans who embraced Christianity 400 or so yrs later.

That same Roman demagogy which co-opted the figure of Jesus Christ now has an ex-Hitler Youth enthusiast as its Pope.  And we all have heard about the Italians and Germans as the Axis powers of evil in WW2.  Alfred Hitchcock filmed the documentary footage of the concentration camp pits where the bodies were buried.  If you have ever seen that B&W footage - I cry with you.  It is absolutely horrific and irrefutable.  Dr. Mengeles filmed experiments are, if you can believe it, actually worse than seeing an olympic size swimming pool filled with emaciated and rotting bodies.

I'm crying as I write this - and I haven't seen any actual footage of the atrocities/medical experiments for over 20 yrs. (and even that was edited for tv),  but once seen - you never forget.  Never.

I ask you would Jesus be pleased about such a bizarre turn of events - where 'His' representative on Earth is a person who contributed in his own teenage way to the atrocities committed in WW2?

Wasn't there a movie called 'The Sound Of Music' which portrayed such Hitler Youth enthusiasts in a very bad light in 1965?  So why in 2008 do Catholics accept such a baddie as their Pope?
