This would be great to sell large appliances, furniture, real-estate, and vehicles. You may think this would be like listing in the adds of a newspaper, but it would be much different because on Ebay you have the advantage to show great views with pictures, write an extensive description and many of the transactions would be made without shipping charges. You also might say this is the way we already sell on Ebay, but the idea I have in mind would be to look up your home town then go from there to look up an item of your interest.
Someone would say you can already do this by using the "advanced search" and selecting from the
Sort By drop down list "Distance Nearest first", but then again by doing this you start the "advanced search" by looking up an item first. My thought is to look up your hometown first then look up an item of your interest.
This feature, of looking up an item rather than your hometown, applies to the "For Pickup Only". Again with "For Pickup Only" on listings you are looking up an item first. If you looked up a place “your hometown” you are looking at numerous listing of local items. Infact, with my idea you would be able to see all the items listed within 25 miles of your zip code, not only a certain item as with "For Pickup Only" OR "advanced search" and selecting the drop down list "Distance Nearest first". |
