Believe -

I have just listed a pin that says "BELIEVE" and the pin shows a beautiful lanscape in a PURPLE hue. A very nice pin but it has an open ended meaning in my opinion. So what does it mean to you? The link to this pin is :

What does this word mean to you?

 For some people, their belief in God would be the first thought to cross their mind. This is their right, at least in this country but this may not be the only choice.

Other people may say Children or their children in partcular. This represents their belief in the future and that the future generation will be able to come up with bright ideas to solve the problems of the world and sustain life on this planet.

This leads us to the Earth or Nature to be more exact. This pin has a beautiful nature scene. Nature is the center of our life on Earth from the many creatures on this planet to every plant, the sky,the water ..... that you see that is not man made.

I can go on for pages but I won't. I will let you leave your comments but do me a favor and don't go on for pages either. Keep your comments to a short paragraph.

FINAL WORD -  What do I believe?.................  I believe I will go list another pin. 

When I first started to sell pins in Feb.2006 I saw that most of the pins on Ebay are collectable Disney and Olympic pins. I don't have those type of pins. I have mostly the practical and useful pins, which I have not seen alot of on Ebay. Why? These are collectable also and look great a Hat, scrapbook or on display in someway. ? Pins are an inexpensive way to tell others how you feel by wearing them. You can give them as a gift to friends, co-workers and relatives to show them that you care about what interests them. I think Sports and Business are great areas that pins have not been used enough.

If you walk up to a clerk in store and they have a "Need Help, Please Ask" or a Smiley Face "Happy to Help", I am not only more likely to speak to the clerk but I already know that they want to help and less likely to form a negative First Impression. If they have a "Clearance Sale", "Dollar Days", "Grand Opening" Pin on, this would prompt conversation about what great deals the store are offering. From my days selling at a flea market, I know that the customer that stops and talks to you are much more likely to look closer at what you are buying and purchase something. At conventions and exhibit tables, you are telling all who passes by a message without saying a word. If they don't see a pin to tell them a message, they might just look closer at the body language that says "I have been sitting here for hours and I want to go home". That won't attract much conversation.

Wear a Pin or a Temporary Tattoo that is related to your favorite team that you are cheering for. Lets say I have gone to watch my child's team, Bloomington Eagles, play a nearby school, Smallville Cardinals. I walk into the Smallville Football field and all I see are "Go Red" or "Cardinals" Tattoos or many Football related pins being worn, I know that these fans are proud of their team and know about Football. I would be at least a little intimidated by this and respect them more.
