You know you're a scrapbooker if.....Posted Apr-11-09 08:06:05 PDT You know you're a scrapbooker if.... You use a weekly 40% off coupon every day. Even your family pet says "Cheese" when you get the camera out. Your circle of friends includes more scrapbookers than non-scrapbookers. You organize your adhesives into at least three categories. You save ticket stubs from everything you do. Your children play "Scrapbook Expo". You know the hours of every scrapbook store in town, by heart. Twelve-hour crop classes seem to last only thirty minutes. At your daughter's dance recital, you ask the instructor if they can do the dance over since you missed a good shot! You buy a mobile home to travel to as many scrapbook conventions as possible. You go to the zoo and tell your kids to "get closer to the tiger" for a better picture.
Have a Happy Easter! Pam You know you're a scrapbooker if.....Posted Apr-08-09 06:00:09 PDT You know you're a scrapbooker if....
Everything you look at is a possible embellishment. Your husband thinks it's alot when you spend $30 in the scrapbook store, and you think to yourself, "If he only knew...." Your child gets hurt and you get the camera before the bandaids. All of your friends and family know the lingo. You name your animals, "Buttons", "Fiber", and "Eyelet". You plan your vacations around scrapbook pages. You think of a crop as a social event instead of something that grows. You walk around with your pH pen testing everything. You attend a scrapbook retreat and make a scrapbook of you scrapbooking. Your family's eyes are permanently dilated from camera flash. You have to hide your recent scrapbook purchase in the washing machine so your husband doesn't find it.

Merry Belated Christmas :)Posted Dec-27-08 09:21:13 PST Now that the Christmas rush is over, I feel like I can finally breathe again! I have enjoyed the past two days with my family, and I've spent alot of time just "chillin' out". My husband is off work until after the first of the year, and I'm only working a few days. 5 Year Anniversary of Weekend CropsPosted Nov-20-08 11:48:15 PST I am celebrating 5 years of weekend cropping! My very first crop was one that I hosted in Ocean City, Maryland. I remember when I first had the idea, I thought if I had 20 people interested, I'd be doing something. It turns out that 42 people were interested! We had a super time! I remember packing everything...and I do mean everything that I own...AND my 13 years of pictures that I was going to get caught up...haha!!! I even packed all of my rubberstamps and inks, because a WHOLE weekend is a very long time, and I didn't want to run out of things to do...haha even louder! I have hosted and attended many weekend crops since. I have 112 people signed up for the Annual President's Day Weekend Crop in February, and I could probably add 20 more if I only had room! I think I finished 12 pages that first weekend...a far cry from my goal of catching up, but I learned something important. Scrapbooking isn't just about the photos. It's about spending time with family and friends and relaxing. It's also about making new memories and taking more pictures so I'll have something to scrap on my 20th anniversary. Have a great weekend. Pam |
