Addicted to Selling & can't stop!!!

Have a question, Hope you can answer-Pam

Hi everyone, okay so I have been selling for a few years now and e bay has just been great 4 me! I have rarely not sold anything that I list and I seem to profit outrageously. I hear a lot of talk that sales are slow, and I don't want 2 brag. Is it because it is different with a store? Yesterday I was thinking of opening a store until I heard alot of negative things. How come buy it now items aren't searchable like the auction listings? I usually don't have buy it now items, just auction style. ALL starting at 99 cents everytime. Could I have a store with just auction style listings, or is that weird?

I don't believe that you can have a store with auction style listings - when they are in the store they are either fixed price or BIN with best offer only - does a more experienced store owner have a better answer??? I would love to know! LOL

My store has done fair.If I would get more listings going i would fare much better.

I do mostly listings, and a few auctions, but have yet to turn a profit with the exception of 10.00 last billing cycle.

Your ebook is super great, and so easy to understand.

Thanks darleen. If I had a store could I stick with auctions or do they have to be BIN?

You can do BIN,Fixed Price,Auctions, all of it.

It's versatile.Plus a listing for BIN is just 6 cents.

darleen, so would it be weird to have a store with just auctions? I dont think ive ever seen one like that? How much does it cost to list auction style in a store?

I've only had my store a few days...
I think my auction style listings do MUCH better profit wise. HOWEVER- my store listings are bringing in a multitude of questions from potential buyers worlwide. I've had two buyers from the UK (well one from Scotland) but one bought a bassinet for her Daughter here in America, and the other bought a bassinet for herself there in Scotland.

Thanks carter. With my auction style listings, I ship all over. I do alot of canada,Australia,UK....So, you do the auction style listings in the store? This is what I am trying to figure out because thats all I do is auction style and want to know if a store would benefit me?

Hi Pam, just browsing around and came across your question. If your plan is to only stick with auction type listings, I am not so sure a store would benefit you. You have to remember that you have to pay monthly for a store. Doing a buy it now listing in your store is cheaper but you have limited exposure on the searches. For me, I am retail so I have to have a store. I do a few auction listings a month for extra exposure. For what I do, a store has been wonderful for me! I think you just have to consider what your future plans are. You are obviously doing great, so sometimes if it ain't broke don't fix it :-) If you plan on adding a lot more inventory then maybe a store would be a good idea and you could do some buy it nows and some auctions. Hopefully that was a little helpful.

hello everyone...
I just opened an EBAY STORE... IN ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION... I HAVE FOUND THAT YOU CAN LIST ALL THE TYPES OF LISTINGS.. BE IT AUCTION.. BUY IT NOW.. OR FIXED PRICE LISTINGS.... I HAVE ONLY BEEN A STORE OWNER FOR A WEEK AND A HALF.. SO AS FAR AS PROFIT I HAVE LITTLE TO SHOW AS OF YET..BUT I PLAN TO LIST PRODUCTS EVERY DAY THAT I THINK EVERYONE WOULD LIKE TO SEE AND POSSIBLY BUY... SO I WISH YOU THE BEST OF LUCK...IN YOUR QUEST TO HAVE THE PERFECT ONLINE STORE === IT LOOKS GREAT TO ME!!!!
P.S.
IF ANYONE HAS ADVISE PLEASE GO TO MY STORE AN LEAVE ANY KIND OF COMMENT..THANKS

Hi. As you can see I am fairly new at this. My question is for anyone, I have seen listings out there that are of far less value and even quality of mine do better. Most of my clothes are brand names, with or without tags or barely worn and I just think I should be doing as well as similar and even lesser auctions. I use a starting price so I do not end up getting ripped off entirely. Is that where I am going wrong? I see like 50 visitors on my page and hundreds on others. Any advice for somebody just starting out with quality items but obviously doesn't know what to do with them?
