New Vintage Magazines Available

paper_to_love has just added two new titles to our store - BR (Bible Review) and Adirondack Life. Lots of historical info to be found in these journals. Both have information that is as useful today as when they were printed. These would be especially helpful for someone planning a trip. Learn about some of the fascinating places to visit when traveling to the Middle East, or upstate New York. Of course, they are reasonably priced Buy-It-Now items with super savings on multiple purchases. We like to give Value with our Vintage!

Vintage Crate Labels = Great Gifts!

Looking for beautiful, and affordable art? Check out our fruit and vegetable labels. These make excellent holiday or birthday gifts for very little out-of-pocket moola.

We have over 100 varieties listed so far, with more to go up in the next few days. There are lots of fruit labels, especially pears!, but also apples, apricots, kiwis, avocados, grapes, cherries, melons, peaches, and citrus (lemons, oranges, grapefruit) and others. In the vegetable department are labels for onions, yams, lettuce, peas, tomatoes, corn, cucumbers, asparagus and peppers.

We've priced the majority of our labels at under $5.00. Making the deal even better is our multiple purchases shipping discount - buy as many labels as you want in 24 hours and when paid for on one combined invoice they will all ship for only $3.00 in the continental U.S.

Need them in a hurry? We also offer Priority Mail and Express Mail upgrades. But I don't advise waiting until too close to Christmas - we have a limited supply of labels to choose from and don't expect to restock until after the new year.

Happy shopping!

Paper to Love gets PowerSeller Status

We are proud to announce that the paper ephemera store Paper to Love has attained PowerSeller recognition by eBay for our volume sales.

If you are unfamiliar with our line, we offer mostly vintage paper products - magazines, photos, print ads, original articles, stereoview cards, books and other items. We will be introducing vintage labels as soon as we get around to listing them.

Some of the many topics/themes we carry: cars, circus, Leica photography, dogs, horses, airlines, crafts, food & wine, scuba diving, backpacking & outdoors, Black history, early radio electronics, music, wrestling & grappling, carousels, fishing, woodworking, biker, religion, and many more.

We have thousands of items in our inventory still unlisted and are working diligently to get them up so they'll be accessible for collectors. Stop by and browse our offerings when you have some time. If you seek something special then feel free to dash off an email because we may have the item on our shelves.

We love what we do so it's hard to call it work. Isn't that the way it should be?

Paper to Love Goes to the Dogs (and Horses)!

It's true! Paper to Love - you're favorite paper ephemera store on eBay - has gone to the dogs (and horses). In our great selection of vintage magazine titles we recently added "The Collie Review." This mag is no longer published and had limited distribution to begin with so it can be difficult to find. Loaded with wonderful pix of both long and short hair collies - faces you just gotta love!

And to our line of horse magazines we've brought in "The Horse," a publication devoted to equine health that will help you get the best from your stablemate.

Other new titles in our store include "AJN - American Journal of Nursing," and "Camping Life." We are constantly adding new titles, as well as supplementing our current offerings with new issues. Be sure to check in often.

And don't forget! We offer an optional buyer's reward program for every purchase. What can be sweeter than getting money back, even on shipping?

Happy shopping!

Thermal Printer Labels Save Time, Money, Face

Want more repeat customers? Shipping like a pro builds confidence and trust to make people come back for more, and just may save you time and money, too!

Most eBay sellers I know are also eBay buyers. If you ordered an item from someone, what's your impression when it arrives in an old, reused box or envelope with a handwritten, taped-on label? If you're like me, you immediately wonder what the condition of the item is going to look like inside. You might also be thinking, "I paid $XX for shipping and handling for THIS?"

I'm convinced that using new packing materials is important to ensuring the item arrives in good condition, gives a professional appearance to our operation, and leads to better feedback and return customers. Using new materials is often also faster than reusing older packaging.

Thermally printed labels are another big piece of that professional appearance, plus they save time (and time = money). Would you rather spend your time preparing packages for shipment or getting more items listed? It may surprise you how saving even a few minutes a day can increase your profit bottomline.

By the way, I know some sellers feel that reusing packaging is a great way of “green” recycling. I'm not putting down recycling at all, and I admit that I do reuse some old boxes - but only internally for storage, or else I make sure they enter the recycling stream of our municipality.

Of course, paper_to_love has the common 4x6 thermal labels to sell (fitting the Zebra LP 2844 and similar 1" core models). However, we only have a few rolls left and our pricing structure makes multiple purchases very economical so they may sell out soon.

Happy selling!

I'm Learning a Lot About Black History Through Jet Magazines

One of the adventures of the "product" I offer on eBay (vintage magazines) is that I'm constantly learning while I'm listing. Take, for example, the Jet magazines...

Of course many of the famous names / stars we are all familiar with, like Michael Jackson and Michael Jordan, Toni Braxton, Bill Cosby, Mike Tyson, Natalie Cole, Colin Powell, Jesse Jackson, and B.B. King to name a few. But the Jets are rich with other information beyond the "star gossip and news" stuff that so many mags carry.

Some that I listed recently tell why Gospel music is hot, why people believe in God and miracles, does teaching abstinence work?, Hoover's FBI probes into Sammy Davis Jr, The Black Panthers, and Dr. King; urban homesteading; how generosity prolongs life, and so much more!

And yet above all, for me, surfaces the level of injustice that needs righting. I've been surprised by the frequency of reports of prison inmates and people on death row being found innocent through the use of new DNA evidence. I already knew many more Blacks are both convicted, and given harsher sentences, than whites in numbers that are way out of proportion for the crimes committed. But to learn on a monthly, almost weekly basis, how many innocents have served time is deeply disturbing. I have to praise Jet magazine for raising my awareness and conscience on this unfairness.

So if you're looking for a dip into Black history I can't suggest better than picking up an issue (or several issues) of Jet.

By the way, like many of the magazine titles we sell at paper_to_love, we only charge shipping for the first copy of Jet magazine, making it a great deal to stock up on multiple issues in one combined purchase.
