Have you shopped for jeans lately?

Unbelievable prices!

It's time for you too take a good look at my jeans.  Great quality, brands, and great condition.

Measure your favorite pair of jeans:   are they low rise -- fitting comfortably below the belly button?  Or do your jeans button  touch your belly button?  It's important to measure your jeans across the front waistline, laying flat.  Measure the rise from the crotch intersection to the top of the waistband.  And measure the inseam from the crotch to the cuff.

If you like flare jeans, measure the cuff, laying flat across the front.  If you like skin tight jeans, measure the  thigh width (two inches below the crotch)  laying flat across the front and the cuff as well.  I hope this info was informative, because there really is nothing hotter than a great fitting pair of jeans!

Forever in Blue Jeans

Take a poll the next time you go to the mall, or grocery store, or the next time you're standing on line at the Post Office:  Count how many people are wearing jeans.  Play the counting game with your kids but  instead of red cars and blue cars, count blue jeans and blue jean shorts.  Count Capris!  Crazy idea?  Maybe, but what's crazier is how our denim desire tells wonderful stories about our society.  Just like the admen for Abercrombie have proven that they can tap deeply into the prepubescent psyche and sell holey jeans,  just like the masters of rap have made jeans so baggy, that they will fit a kid until he's forty, and just like Brooke Shields convinced me that I would never get a boyfriend until I first got a pair of Calvins,--the stories translate into something that stays with us forever.  It really is deeper than peer pressure, because even when we transcend the need to dress for the outside world, we search and search and search for the perfect pair of jeans.  A perfect pair of jeans is out there for you, no matter what your size.  And we don't attribute perfection to the miracle of 2% spandex.  The perfect pair of jeans makes us feel good inside.  Of course, getting dressed up usually makes us feel good, but doesn't necessarily make us feel comfortable or confident -- quite the opposite most of the time.

I guess what I'm getting at is this:  somewhere deep inside of each of us, there is an experience with a pair of jeans that has influenced your world like the butterfly fluttering his wings in the rain forest that affects the winds that bring rain to my garden.  Too esoteric for you? I doubt it.  I'm sure you understand.  But all you have to do is spend ten minutes counting all the pairs of jeans that pass by as you sit on a bench at the mall.  And then, you will really get it.

Denim is green and blue. Denim can be distressed but never destroyed!

Hi eBayworld:

This is my first blog, so I look forward to some great critiques.  Please help me grow to fulfill my dream of becoming an eBay Powerseller.

Denim Rules the world.  Whether rich man or poor woman, everybody has at least one pair of jeans.  Who doesn't get a great vibe when they see a clothesline full of jeans, or an even more positive, visceral emotion when pulling your favorite jeans out of the dryer on a cold winter morning and jumping right into them before running out the door to school.  Jeans are part of the world order, from your armynavysurplushardasstonedarkwashirregulars to your mrsbeckhamroyaltybrandedmegabucks varietal,  denim works for everyone.  People attach great significance to their favorite fit and feel of jeans.  See your fave rocker in a pair of Sevens?  You have to have it!  Is this saying something about society, or peer pressure, or is it that jeans are a cultural commodity that's better than gold?  I'm truly hoping to find out.

All eBaypeople worldwide:  I have so much to learn about making a living selling used jeans, so I am hoping you will reach out to me and assure me that living for a passion isn't crazy.  That waking up and loving my job is a good thing.  That my belief that the whole world loves the feel of a good pair of broken in jeans is TRUTH.  That my passion for the green life: reuse, reinvent resolutely and re-educate, not just re-market, is re-al.  Cotton fiber can last for centuries. Denim will always transcend the damned trends.

Ideas, eBaypeople?  Send me Ideas!

By the way:  I've already contacted CHRISTO about a jeans clothesline running Route 66.  No response yet.  Maybe I'll have to do it myself.
