Archive - April 2008 Can It Get Any Worse.....?Posted Apr-30-08 05:19:03 PDT Yesterday my daughter (mother of 5) was at work and her cell phone kept ringing. She would look at the number but did not recognize the caller so did not answer. After a bit she got tired of the non stop ringing and finally did answer it. It was her local police department. They called her by name and ask her if they could get a verbal consent from her to search her home. She asked them why they wanted and or needed to search her home. They told her there was a fire. Frantic she rushed the few blocks from her job to head home. She was still on the cell phone when she arrived home. There was no fire. There is another person in the same county that has the same name as hers and they had called the wrong one. Shouldn't they have made sure they had the right person? Maybe ask her to verify her address or something? She has since heard that there may have been a working meth lab at the home that burned and is afraid people will think it was her when it wasn't. She made me laugh!Posted Apr-13-08 12:09:44 PDT My little 10 year old Grandaughter is very thin and wears the slim size in jeans. I always tease her to get her going. I told her she was a "Skinny Minnie, Boney Maroni, and Knobby Knees". She looked at me with her hands on her hips an said in her serious voice "No, I am not a Nobineese I am an American!" Got to love those Grandkids! |
