Good morning bloggers!!

Ahh today seems like it's going to be another pretty day out!! I love spring and summer months ya'll. It's like you can get out and do things without freezing yourself stiff!!

Thursday while I was out and about I noticed more than ever a lot of people on their bikes and also walking! Bikes were everyone on the road!!

I'm sure it's due to the raise in gas prices and what not. I'm starting to look at it like this since there isn't much that can be done about it. It's a sure fire way to lose some unwanted pounds and get the US in tip top shape!!

They say that in the US it has the most people over weight. I can't really tell but that's what I read. I don't actually go around looking at the way people are. As long as they are happy heck I'm happy for them!!

Anyways nice to see people out and about though sad to see it's more than likely due to the gas issue. Oh I even saw a young fellow on a horse too!! Get this he was on the freeway!!! LOL No joke now that was a hoot to me!!

Good morning everyone!

Parents give me your input on a birthday party that I am having for my son coming up real soon.

I've passed out invitations with RSPV's and so far I've received about 26 back stating that their children will be attending. I done RSPV's because I wanted to  make sure that we have enough food , drinks and also goody bags for all the children.

So now my question that I am needing your input on especially for those who have done birthday parties. What on earth do you do or shall I say how do you handle it when some don't respond to the RSPV and still attend?

I have planned for extra's in the event of this happening, but again the reason for the RSPV to start was so I can order enough food etc for my son's birthday party.

I don't want to turn anyone away, but at the same time I don't want to purchase more and those who didn't respond actually don't show up and I'm stuck with tons of food, drinks prepared and goody bags ( to me that's just waste)

I hope I'm making sense here it's early so bare with me.

And something else I've noticed with this birthday party is a few parents have called and said "oh we'll drop our children off" I hurried and told them no you must stay with your children, you can't leave them.

Most of these children are from the ages of 4-8 years old that will be attending. Do you all think I am wrong in telling a few of these parents no you must stay with your children? I hate to be rude or anything, but goodness what if the child get's hurt or something what am I to do if I can't locate the parent? I always think of things like this.

I was reading blogs this morning and seen where a lot of people are in a pickle about Ebay's fee's, feedback rating system and prices. So this morning I'm curious again to hear what your thoughts are about these changes?

My opinon is I realize that prices on everything has sky rocketted. There is no doubt or mistake about that. However I don't understand this new feedback system at all.

It's as if Ebay isn't taking the sellers into consideration feedback plays a huge role in your sales. And as well all know if the feedback rating is on the ikky side buyers will move on to another seller to make purchases.

I personally believe the feedback system should have been left alone. If it isn't broke don't fix it rule applies there.

The fee's to list and other fee's are truly making a difference in how many people are selling these days. I have a many of friends move on to other auction sites and are doing rather well.

I realize that price increases in everything has effects that ripple down. However I can say that this is only the begining!!

There are other auction sites around I haven't taking the time to sit and read up on them. I've only heard about a few that don't charge listing fees and other fee's.

Some sites are going to make a turn from being #1 auctions sites to mere thoughts of the past while those little under dog sites are going to make it stright to the top. At least for a while course I'm sure when even those sites start getting sellers, buyers etc they too will get big headed and start charging fee's that are out of this world.

Then it will go back to the days when you will more likely make more money sitting a table in your yard having an old fashioned yard sale with no listing fee's , no FV fee's  etc.

Everything evolves at one time or another so I'm sure this too will do the same.

So tell me what say you? What are your thoughts? What do you plan to do?

As I drive around and listen to the news each day I see the rise in gas prices as well as food. This morning I decided to ask Ebayers what the cost of gas is where you live? And what do you think about the gas prices and food prices?

What do you think we as Americans can do to get some relief from all this? Or is there anything we can do?

Good morning everyone!!

Can someone tell me what on earth is going on with all these mystery auctions? I have seen there are some sellers that do great with mystery auctions while others aren't

So this morning I was looking around on the bay and noticed there were so many in the  cell phone section.

My thinking is if someone bids on a mystery auction that auctions plainly states that you are bidding on an e envelope. Well for goodness sakes that auction could reach over 100 bucks!! Just to get nothing perhaps.

I am now wondering if some aren't using this mystery auction just to get money and send nothing because only 1 person can win. Maybe in all fun and games, but come on now!!

Could someone who knows a bit about mystery auctions explain this too me further or rather more? And if there are some out here who bid on mystery auctions tell me what your experience has been?

I am curiuos about this because I've been on Ebay a while now, but am seeing more and more mystery auctions going on.

Oh its that time of year again!! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving with family and friends!!

So to all my Ebay friends who done their shopping online and who decided to hit the mad holiday after Thanksgiving sales?

Me? Well for the past 2 years I've gotten up really early and went online to do my shopping. A friend of mine asked me a few years back.. Why on earth are you going through all that just to get gifts and hit sales?

She finally told me at the end of rattling that she goes online to do her shopping and that a lot of places offer free shipping!!

So needless to say I have started doing that myself!! LOL It's basically no different than going into the store in person. Only difference is I didn't have to deal with the pushing and shoving to get into the door.

Walmart, Bath and body, Toys R Us and so many more even here at Ebay!!

Bath and Body had some great buys online a friend called me here at home saying hey are you still online? I told her yes I sure am then she went on to ask me if Id go to bath and body and get her this and that because they'd sold out!! LOL

Of course I added her little sale items to my online cart because they were still in stock and BAM checked out!! LOL  Amazing so now she's decided to do the same thing next year.

I still purchase little items throughout the year when I see something for a family member or friend I think they'd like and put it away for Christmas the next year or maybe a birthday gift. For me it's easier, but for some I know its fun and they enjoy being out in the mix of people.

Anyways to all my Ebay friends I hope that you each have a wonderful safe and holiday season!! Take care everyone !!

Wow I've been out of the loop for a little while selling on Ebay, however I've still been looking around and what not.

As I've been looking and window shopping on Ebay I've been almost sent through the floor at the shipping and handling prices I'm seeing on some auctions!!

What on earth is going on with these shipping and handing prices of $22.00 and up on handbags? Goodness sakes a live!!

I'm not saying that no one should toss a handbag in a box and just send it to the buyer no way!! But come on now there are flat rate priority boxes that can be used for 8.95 or so.

Sometimes I believe there are some who are simply going out of control with these prices. And also taking advantage of the whole experience of Ebay. That's my opinion and I'm sure there are some who will totally disagree with me and that's fine. Opinions are like bums everyone has one.

Anyways what is the point of charging your customers such outraged prices? Those that I have been seeing who charge reasonable and within range prices seem to be doing a whole lot of selling. While the one's with these crazy shipping and handling prices are like sitting ducks!!

I just can't see paying $20.00 to ship a handbag nor even paying that much for someone to place some old newspaper in there for padding!!

I know that the cost of shipping items have went up with the USPS and stamps for mailing letters etc. The mere fact that priority boxes are free and flat rate boxes as the saying goes if you can get it in the box it will ship for that one low set price.

Makes me just sit and ponder about some sellers NOT ALL!! Oh well my suggestion to buyers is too look at those shipping and handling prices. Think about what you are paying because no one should pay that amount to ship a handbag, small or medium item if it can fit in one of those flat rate boxes.

I also know that a lot of sellers take pride in shipping their items to the buyers. Again I am thinking well newspaper and even tissue paper don't cost that much even with S&H.

Peanuts for packing items ok well still it don't cost that much!! I'm sure this little section will rawl some sellers up , but this is only my opinion.

I take pride in shipping my items just as the next seller does, but I refuse to try and make money off buyers by charging outraged fees that don't make any sense at all. There are ways to ship items neatly and professionally without resorting to crazy prices.

Oh well some do some don't I plan to stick to buying with those that don't..LOL
