The Pharaoh Queen

A new beginning

It feels so good to be back and doing so well. Pharaoh Queen Designs has been on break for a couple of months now, but its time to make a come back. Ever since the first day the first item was posted, buyers have been bidding like crazy on the merchandise. I believe that its only because you can't get this greek art anywhere else. Pharaoh Queen Designs is wanting to know from buyers what they want to see sold in the store. This business is about satisfying greeks, so I want to here some feed back from greeks about what they expect to see when purchasing greek art.

The Birth of Pharaoh Queen Designs

My sorors and other friends always wonder why I named my store Pharaoh Queen Designs. A year ago, in my senior year of college, I was required to do a report on ancient egypt. I selected the 13th dynasty of ancient egypt because it seemed like a dramatic period. It encompassed the legend of Queen Hatshepsut, the queen who dominantly stole pharaohship from her nephew. She was so powerful that instead of having the title as Queen, she made herself into a pharaoh in all aspects. Now I don't agree with the whole cross dressing thing, but she felt that the male population would receive her better if she dressed and looked like a man. Her reign was long and successful until her nephew plotted against her and had her executed. The Pharaoh Queen Hatshepsut became a powerful figure to me, being a feminist and all. Now, I am not the one to judge cross dressing, thats not my cup of tee, but women had to survive the best way they could those days. You know how sometimes in college you forget assignments as soon as they are done, well this story stayed with me for the past year. I know it has nothing to do with greek art, but it has everything to do with me, the creator. I am a strong woman who does what has to be done to get things right. I am a hard worker and independent woman who is constantly reaching for a specific goal. If you are a strong woman for yourself, you can be an even stronger woman for your man.
