Archive - March 2007 Closing My Store: 30-50% Off SalePosted Mar-29-07 07:29:07 PDT
I have been given a wonderful offer in my career field, which is nursing, and I will be closing my store on the 30th. I will no longer have the time to maintain it the way it needs to be done. I will still be running auctions for a while. So, everything in my store is 30-50% off!!
Free Quick*Sell Gallery from ISDN*tek Follow Up Post on Negative FeedbackPosted Mar-26-07 17:19:41 PDT I read everyone's comments. Thanks for the input. I am going to put the rest of the stuff in the mail tomorrow, then email him and tell him that it is on its way and forget about it. I could ask that he remove the feedback, but honestly, is it worth the trouble? By the way, I have emailed him already and explained what happened and said "sorry". When I looked at his feedback, he had done this to someone already. Got My First Negative Feedback Today :<Posted Mar-26-07 16:48:41 PDT Well, I got my first negative feedback today. I thought I would be upset if I ever got one, but you just can't please everyone. This person won an auction for a "lot of" Fisher Price Little People and a Fisher Price vintage house. Some of the furniture was supposed to go with the house and I simply forgot to pack it in with everything else. I had not even noticed my mistake and up pops this NEGATIVE. He did not even contact me! If he had reminded me, I would have sent them to him right away and probably threw in something extra or TRIED to make him happy. But he just jumps the gun and leaves a negative feedback. That is just wrong! Anyway, I left him negative feedback as well. Not as revenge, but that I felt that other sellers should BEWARE that he will jump the gun and to proceed with caution. I waited a few hours before I did it because I have never left a negative feedback for anyone that I can recall. Rustic, Antique, Primitive Items For Sale This Week!!Posted Mar-26-07 05:49:45 PDT

Free Quick*Sell Gallery from ISDN*tek Ways To Make Money on ebayPosted Mar-26-07 05:42:23 PDT Morning Everybody!! I am always looking for new ways to make $$$, as I am sure all of you are too. I love to write and I love to take pictures. How hard is it to write an ebook? I know that some of you have. Please share your experiences. Also, I have some beautiful pictures that I have taken that would be beautiful framed or to use in other ways. What is the market for selling electronic images one at a time for say, less than $2.00. I have noticed that some sellers sell a Photo Cd or otherwise sell a large amount of photos. I am talking of one-of-a-kind photos from my collection. I love to take pictures of storm clouds, nature, old barns, etc... Please let me know what you think. 30% Off Sale in My Store!Posted Mar-24-07 08:19:42 PDT

A Few of My Favorite ThingsPosted Mar-18-07 16:29:07 PDT
Prostores?Posted Mar-18-07 10:10:10 PDT My previous post asked some questions, but I only received 2 comments. Thanks for those, by the way. I guess I need to elaborate more. I have an ebay store and I list a ton of auctions every week. I am becoming more interested in ecommerce and was thinking of starting a website for "multiple streams of income". I have a surplus and never ending inventory of very nice home decor items and very nice used books. Do you think that there is a market for these. Ebay is swamped with these things and it is hard to stand out in a crowd sometimes. I noticed that ProStores has a 30 day trial right now and you get a 30% discount on the monthly fee if you have an ebay store. I am learning all I can about HTML and everthing else that goes into a website, but I heard that ProStores makes it easy for you. So, have any of you used ProStores or have your own retail website? If so, I would like to hear about it. As one reader mentioned, I am sure that someone has an ebook on it, but I want to hear from the bloggers first. Marketing Strategies and Other QuestionsPosted Mar-17-07 18:46:03 PDT I have a couple of questions: 1. How many of you do ebay as a full time gig and relay on ebay for a significant part of your income? 2. How many of you have websites other than your ebay store in which you sell products or market your ebay store? 3. If you have a website, who hosts it and what is the annual cost? 4. What sort of marketing strategies do you use to get traffic to your auctions and ebay store? Here's Your Sign!!Posted Mar-17-07 13:49:46 PDT I love Bill Engvall and his "Here's your sign" act. The other day, grandma called the neighbor lady at home. When she answered, grandma said "I got something to show you. Are you home?" .......Here's your sign! Do you have any? WHEW! What a Morning! Snow, Yard Sale, CrunchhhhPosted Mar-17-07 11:13:29 PDT So here in Missouri, about 60 miles South of St. Louis, we are getting SNOW! Not just flurries either. The last couple of weekends, the weather has been mild enough to go to a few outside yard sales. A few brave souls have pulled out their shorts. So, this morning, grandma and I decided to hit a few yard sales. We got a late start because I stayed up until 2 AM working on my listings. As we head out, a few snowflakes appear. No biggie. We head over to a sale about 3 miles from the house, figuring no one else will be out and we can find a few bargains and that people will sell CHEAP. By the time we arrive, the snow is coming down a little harder; still no biggie. I buy one thing for .50 while the sellers scurry around trying to pull tables into the garage. We figure we would leave, go to a church sale held in a basement and head home. We jump in the SUV, I put it in drive, gas it, and CRUNCHHHHH. What the..? I jump out and run around to the front of my new SUV (my very 1st BRAND NEW car, bought in October) and there is a boulder the size of small meteorite sitting at the edge of their driveway and I have driven right into it, cracking my fender and pushing it up into my front tire. GREAAATTT. I pull out onto the road and can hear it rubbing against the tire, so I call my husband to help me instead of driving it home that way. Luckily, he is a sweet guy and took it in stride. The yard sale was at the parsonage of a local church and the pastor, who was holding the sale, said that the church's insurance would take care of it and not to worry, he had hit that rock before with his truck. NEWSFLASH! Move the Damn Rock! Meanwhile, the snow is still falling! HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY, EVERYBODY!! Quit Making Fun Of My Bedpan LOLPosted Mar-16-07 19:45:18 PDT I will have you know that bedpans are collectible, didn't you know that? Come on now. This is ebay!! LOL :> Everyone collects something! BTW, That bedpan weighs over 6 pounds, can you believe it? Thanks for the laughs! OH YEAH!!!! Having Fun Now!!Posted Mar-16-07 19:40:55 PDT
