Follow Up Post on Negative Feedback

I read everyone's comments. Thanks for the input. I am going to put the rest of the stuff in the mail tomorrow, then email him and tell him that it is on its way and forget about it. I could ask that he remove the feedback, but honestly, is it worth the trouble? By the way, I have emailed him already and explained what happened and said "sorry". When I looked at his feedback, he had done this to someone already.

Remember if you mutually agree to remove feedback then yours will come off of theirs too - and I think they rightfully deserve theirs. When people look at your feedback they will see that this person was someone new who obviously doesn't understand the process. They will not stay away from you because of it. For the other person though, it sticks out warning others, as it should. Personally, I would leave it there. That is up to you though, if that 99.7% instead of 100% is going to bother you, by all means, ask to mutually withdraw the feedback.

Waitresschick, I agree with you completely. I would be doing a disservice to other sellers if I did not leave a negative for him. The other seller gave him a neutral, but that is not enough. He is inexperienced and maybe he will learn or maybe not. If he keeps this up, he won't have much of a feedback record, will he? Communication is part of the ebay process.

This is exactly why sellers should not leave feedback first, because of this kind of stuff. Sorry you had to go through that!
