Fall FindsPosted Sep-28-06 06:45:53 PDT The frost has hit our area, and the nights are getting cold. The rustle of leaves under feets of many leaf peepers can be heard for miles. Soon all the tourists will be gone and many places will be reorganizing to get ready for the winter season. It a time when you can get a last minute deal on a summer item, season closeouts, and dicker with the people who would rather come down in price than store their goods over winter. In other words, it is a bargain hunters paradis in Maine right now!!!! I hit one repeating Yardsale in the area, and they told me they get so many dealers that try to be the first to pick over merchandise, that they run their sale a little different now. They bring out new merchandise to sell every couple of hours, that way everyone gets a chance at a bargain and the dealers do not come in one fell swoop early morning that way. It is a novel approach but I am not sure if it actually makes for better sales. I also came accross the coolest shop! It was a composite of many dealers in one huge building! They say they are the largest fleamarket in Maine, maybe you know the place. Well, I purchased a beautiful pair of Designer earrings to add to my personal jewelry collection for a mere fraction of the real value during their summers end sale. I could go on and on about the abounding deals in Maine, but why don't you head on up and see fer ya self! I have to get back to my listings. I am trying to present a line of vintage clothing that has been in my collections for many years, and now they are back in style! Check them out, truely unique and hard to find originals.
