Enough already!

Is an E-mail too much to ask for?

Ok, I know I don't use Ebay that much. But it seems the last few things I've purchased, I don't even get so much as an E-mail from the seller. Is it really that hard to let someone know that their payment has been received? If someone is spending money with you how about some customer service? I always contact the Seller/buyer within 24 hours of the auction end. It has been a week and no e-mail or any kind of acknowledgement that I even purchased anything from this seller! I've had it.  I will continue to sell on Ebay but this is the last thing I will buy on Ebay.

I do not notify them if I received the paypal payment because they get email that it been confirmed from paypal. But I do let the buyer know if I received the money order so that they can expect to know when I will ship. Paypal automatically let them know the delivery confirmation #. but if I went to regular USPS then I will notify them that it been ship.

I always send an invoice, then a message after they pay to let them know that I shipped it and when they should recieve it. Finally after they recieve it I send 1 more to make sure everthing is OK. After all that, I will leave feedback.

Yes, I always send an invoice and then I message them about when I will be shipping the package. I know as a buyer I like to have that kind of communication.

I always send, an invoice marked "received through PayPal", and send a tracking # through UPS. But as a buyer I've been left in th dark.

Hmmm... seems like you hit an impolite seller (I'm being polire here!). I agree with you, customer service is important and I like to keep in touch with my buyers. It helps make them feel comfortable purchasing from you and you never know, it could be your service that makes them buy from you again. So in answer to your question, no an e-mail is NOT too much to ask for! However, don't let one bad seller deter you from buying from eBay again - there are heaps of good ones out there! All the best..

Sorry your seller was not a communicator . I always send the invoice. If its paypal I feel they get that message from them. If it is a check I send an email telling them it is received and when I shipped.
On the flip side I have sat here waiting for communication from a buyer waiting for 10 days to hear what they plan to do regarding payment. I do not want to alienate them by harassing them. I usually wait 3 days send another invoice and follow up emails every 3 days.

I am gettig that a lot lately, no communication whatsoever! I process my orders within a day of payment and send an email telling them item was sent, then also do a followup if no contact after delivery.

It works both ways. Some people are just not into communication. I even try to go as far as replying in each feedback comment about once a week just to let others know that feedback IS read and appreciated!!

I always send and email thanking them for their payment and letting them know when their item will ship. Once I print the label, I leave them feedback stated when their item was shipped. So far so good...I don't think it is too much top ask to have acknowledgement of receipt of payment.

I agree, particularly if it is something that I need (like when I order k cups) or a gift. I always send an email if it is a money order and another one telling them when the item is shipped. Some sellers act like you are doing them a favor by purchasing. If I get that tone in their feedback or from their listings, I pass on the item.

How about contacting the seller via e-bay/e-mail 6 times before they send a shipping total? Also, 2 phone calls. Finally, did receive the shipping total. A week later (at this point, 3 weeks after "winning" the items) received the items. Laughable. What to do? This seller has history of leaving nasty remarks if they get a negative feedback. I am in a jam at this point. Return items? Wait how long. Leave neg. feedback? Oh yea, drop my feedback score to the netherworld. Any one with any advice?
