I recently made a huge mistake purchasing from ebay member: through103.  He was selling SanDisk Extreme Compact Flash cards for a really great price.  Turns out the price was too great.  After the auction ended, I immediately made my payment through paypal as I normally do.  I just received the item this afternoon.  After opening the box, I noticed that the packaging looked strange.   I did some research and realized that my card looked exactly like the FAKE CF cards you see on the internet.  Please refer to the following links:

I called SanDisk and they said the memory card should have a serial number imprinted on the bottom, which mine didn't.  They said I most likely had a fake card.

I was a bit pissed, so I left through103 negative feedback, probably not the best thing to do, since he turned around and left me retaliatory feedback, saying that I backed out of the auction and didn't pay. 

I've filed a complaint with PayPal, but unfortunately have to wait 10 days to file a complaint with Ebay.  Why is that?? That's ridiculous!!!!

Anyway, I see through103 was successful in duping over 100 people into thinking they had authentic SanDisk memory cards....so I'm writing this blog in hopes that I might enlighten anyone considering purchasing from him.  He's probably far worse than a crook...
