How does one become a Power Seller?

Hi! I have been on Ebay for over a year now and taking it more seriously by opening a store and wanting to make this a great store. How does one achieve the status of becoming a power seller? Can someone give me some advice?

Thanks! Looking forward to hearing from someone!

you have to maintain a 98% positive feedback and I believe gold is 10,000 per month for two months in a row--can't remember exactly.

"LOL" Are there different level's of Power Seller's??? And, when you say $10,000 per month as in "money" your actually selling on ebay?????
Falls off my chair!

there are silver, bronze and gold levels and it's $1000 a month for silver, $2000 for bronze and $5000 for gold, I think.

yes. You have to consistently make a certain amount per month. Of course, once your business increases again, then they will invite you to become a PS again.

If you start out in the gold catagory, then the only way you'll lose your PS status is to go below $1000 a month.

I may lose my status after I leave for vacation for 2 weeks but that's okay, too.

Checks out madcat's site....see thats my problem...I buy more than I can put online..and ship out..but now I plan to go full steam ahead..They don't give consideration for vacations, or people getting ill...and do you get any benefits of having that status with ebay???

Well, sure, those are the BIG sellers with the shooting stars next to their name. They're in a different league though.

That's just it....you have to hire people once you get to THAT level! LOL! No, there are really no perks to being a power seller. None I get too excited about anyway.

You have to run this, just like you would a brick and mortar business. It's all on you. And it can be 24/7 or just part-time at different times and that's what people like.

Sure, as long as you offer good quality inventory, price it competively and find your own niche, and you can make a LOT of money.

I know what you mean. My guest room and hall closet are filled to the brim. My husband wasn't real supportive until I started making money and then, he saw it was a real business.

Good for you! My hubby was the one that pushed me to sell some of our stuff on ebay being I'm not fond of "garage sales" but he doesn't understand the work involved in this. Its not easy money to be made like people think.

That's easy to become a bronze powerseller. Only get $1,000 selling/month. I am now a silver powerseller ($3,000/month) and trying to become a gold powerseller. I have listed about 80 listings/day with about 1000 inventory listings in my store. To get more detail information to become a powerseller, see the link below:
