I am back from my mini vacation to Kansas City!

This past Tuesday my wife had some vacation time and we went to Kansas City to see the Royals/Angels games at the K - Kaufman Field. 

We arrived in KC around 3 pm and got check into our hotel room.  One our way up there we stopped and purchase me a Royals hat. 

After a short rest in the hotel room I was ready to go and see the game!

We headed out to Kauffman Field - which is next to Arrowhead Stadium.

One of the first sights we saw as the George Brett statue outside of the park.

We arrived there at about 5:10- the gates opened at 5:30

We had GREAT seats for the game!  We were along the third base side next to the TV camera.

We had a great view of batting practice!

The windows opened in the picture below on the left side were the FSN West booth.  Kim was able to see Rex Huddler in the booth!

We had a small problem during the game finding the disabled accessible restrooms, but once we found someone who knew what they were doing - we discovered they are in the first aid station.  They are doing major remodeling at the park.

We enjoyed ourselves at the game and with the exception of some of the drunks in the 8th inning and later, had a great time.  The Angels won 5 to 3!

We plan to go back next year.

Wednesday we packed up our stuff and headed out. 

We had to stop at Target before we left t0 get me a shirt - someone who looks a lot like my wife forgot to pack me a clean shirt for the trip home!

After Kim had lunch at Panda we headed back home.

On our way home we had some heavy downpours and interesting cloud formations.

At times we had t slow down to 45 miles an hour on the freeway!

We made it home about 3 pm - we got wet a bit as it was raining heavy at our house when we got home but overall we had a good time.
