St. Louis cardinals/San Francisco Giants Game 1 of 4.Posted Apr-11-08 14:38:27 PDT Updated Apr-11-08 14:44:26 PDT I watched the first of 4 in the St. Louis Cardinals/San Francisco Giants series in San Francisco. I do not like making excuses for anything in life, however all I am going to say is what was MLB thinking having St. Louis play Houston the night before flying out to the west? The team did not get into their hotel rooms until 5 am game day. Why was Wednesday's game in Houston a night game? I feel it should have been a get away game. The Astros had Thursday off. However, it was refreshing to to hear that we wee playing "Barry Bonds and the San Francisco giants". Originally all aspects of Bonds was removed from at&t park, but I guess due to some pressure they did put a little plaque up in left field where Bonds use to shuffle around honoring the day he broke the home run record (in my opinion by cheating). I am just waiting for some creative fan to get into the park and paint a big asterisk next to that plaque! I do not think Bonds will be back in baseball. I am hoping his next uniform is federal prison issue. It is just my opinion but he is a cheater and I can not wait for feds to grab him. I will save all my Barry Bonds comments for a future blog - when his day in court comes. Final thoughts about this game: I watched the game from FSN Midwest off the bird and was able to also see the ComCast SportsNet Bay Area postgame show. That was lame, most of it was a simulcast of the KNBR post game show. I used to live in northern California and had to watch the Giants feeds of games I wanted to see. I got to say, I do not miss the Giants broadcasters, who do no show prep at all and use the telestrator as a toy to scribble over peoples faces - they call it the eliminator - in my opinion we can eliminate Duane Kuiper and Mike Krukow and get some real announcers in the broadcast booth.. We will get them tonight! - "It is always a good day in baseball when the Giants lose" - Powerwheelerchris |
