feedback withdrawal removal- an undeserved slap to sellers

This feedback withdrawal removal is completely not fair to sellers.  eBay’s removing the feedback withdrawal process because sellers can exploit buyers.  How can us sellers possibly exploit buyers?  We have zero leverage to exploit buyers since we cannot leave negative feedback (we cannot threaten to leave negative feedback or leave negative feedback and tell them the only way to withdrawal it is to accept the mutual feedback withdrawal).  There is no other way to exploit the buyers.  The only thing this is going to do is create a worse buyer experience, because the sellers are not going to have much motivation to work out the issue for which the buyer left negative/neutral feedback (since they already tainted our account and they cannot remove it), vs. us sellers wanting to work it out and going above our normal business practices to help the customer in hope they will withdrawal there feedback (ever if it is completely unfair to us), which leaves a very good buyer experience.  We sellers will basically accept all liabilities for items even if it isn’t our fault to have the buyer come to reason and withdrawal their feedback.

  • Many buyers who leave negative or neutral feedback leave it in:
    • A. Ignorance
    • B. Emotional, thoughtless impulse
    • C. In complete error (ex. “Thanks for the item” but mark it neutral).

  • Many buyers withdrawal their feedback after we explain ourselves nicely and ask nicely for them to withdrawal it, proving the above points (A, B, C) for the reasons of the majority of buyer feedback.

  • Many buyers regret leaving their feedback and want to withdrawal it, because after being explained to, they realized it was not fair or correct and would now like to withdrawal after.

  • Does eBay not know that most buyers think neutral feedback is not bad or has any effect on us (hence neutral), which is not really neutral in fact, but a false description of that word and the word and option should be removed.

These reasons should be more than enough to have the feedback withdrawal system put back into place.  Please reconsider the decision to remove the feedback withdrawal process and have it put back in place.
