Making things out of CardboardPosted May-10-08 04:06:49 PDT Updated May-10-08 05:48:52 PDT The picture to the left is my "Pig Remote" l made out of cardboard l done this because the ones on show were over priced and just looked boring plus most are only for two or four remote controls, l have 5, anyway l think mine looks better. I've also made a Computer Monitor Stand, again because there over priced and the thought of making one of my own design appealed to me, now l have a monitor stand what l like plus the colour l want (started using it before l painted it,still white in colour). Its amazing what you can make with a bit of cardboard, PVA glue, Kitchen paper towel and a little bit of imagination, plus have a lot of fun. My next project is a cardboard Steam Train Engine with wheels that move , l have the shape all done but need to work how l'm going to do the wheels. I know, just a big kid at heart, this life is for fun and enjoying yourself, what ever you want to do have fun doing it, enjoy enjoy, life's to short not to. DrawingPosted Apr-05-08 14:19:15 PDT Updated Apr-06-08 03:54:12 PDT Hi Heres something you might like to try, just for fun plus it will improve your straight lines and circles etc, Get a clean sheet of paper and a sharp pencil, now without removing your pencil from the paper draw a circle do about six to ten any size but all the same size and distance apart.( tip try small first you have more control) Now the same thing but with straight lines first horizontal do six to ten same distance apart and length about 1"or 2" then do the same but vertical. Then the hard bit anyway l think this one is harder, do a spiral round from the top to the center, size," small" six to ten times again then do it from the center out keeping the distance between the lines the same. My first go at this was complete rubbish, have fun. It is like music but instead of a keyboard etc you have the different colours and media to perform your symphony in lines, tones and colour, that should create your master piece whether portrait, nude or landscape etc. If you get a chance have a read of this book. |
