Most Recent Posts Nothing Beats FREE!Posted Mar-26-07 19:02:04 PDT One of the most underutilized FREE services offered to eBay store owners are eBays WONDERFUL promotion boxes. Promotion boxes are a great way to cross sell within your store as they present additional eBay items to your customers wheile they shop various categories. As most eBay sellers are very much in time-sensitive mode, you can set your store promotion boxed to automoatically disply items from your store based on a wide range of settings. You can see promotional boxes "in action" at http://stores.ebay.com/Affordable-Web-Site-and-Logo-Design_Logo-Design.
To configure your promotion boxes, go to My eBay, then Manage my Store. The link to Promotion Boxes in on the left under Store Design! Brand Continuity At Its FinestPosted Dec-11-06 19:29:18 PST One of the overall marketing goals I have with most any client is the development of "branding continuity". Simply put, there are many visual venues a customer can see today with most any business. Visual venues include: A corporate website, an eBay store, as well as tangibles like business cards and brochures. From a branding standpoint, there needs to be a common look at feel across all venues that a client or prospect will see. One of my newer eBay store clients is an authorized distributor of Sprint/Nextel phone accessories. The design objectives with this project included the creation of a site that matched the feel and layout of Sprint.com. Again, brand continutity increases bidder confidence and leads to revenue gains. Pretty simple concept. The new store, Sprint Warehouse ( http://stores.ebay.com/sprintwarehouse) captures the look and feel for this customer in a way that will inspire confidience in new bidders and drive measurable revenue!
Nothing Beats a Happy Customer :-)Posted Nov-17-06 19:11:32 PST Updated Nov-17-06 19:12:25 PST eBay is an absolutely amazing community in action. I've been creating web content for close to a decade now. Though my work is consistently well-received by my clients, I still have a deep appreciation for those who come back to me well after a project is completed to update me to their progess. October found me completing a store upgrade for an off-road accessories seller. His email last week was such a pleasure to see. He wrote, "We have received record numbers of orders since the re-make on Oct 11th. As of 11/14, our November sales volume has already surpassed the total for all of October". (note: his store is at http://stores.ebay.com/Witts-Off-Road) He was under no obligation to do so, but took the time out of his day to share his successes. It's commnets like this- long after a project is completed- long after feedback has been left- that drive me to continue to deliver excellence in what I do. Thanks to Ken W. for taking the time to share your success! D~ More Seller TipsPosted Oct-20-06 13:58:15 PDT Updated Nov-17-06 19:16:14 PST
Most legitimate eBay sellers will have an eBay storefront. To quickly find some of the larger players in your marketplace, click on the eBay Stores link on the left hand main page navigation section. You’ll then have the option to search through stores by keywords. Though very few consumers will ever search through eBay like this, you can find some of the bigger players in pretty short notice. eBay will then display search matches with the highest inventory stores leading up the list. eBay Seller Tip of the WeekPosted Oct-20-06 13:56:38 PDT Updated Nov-17-06 19:15:23 PST If your product/service offering is varied and the demographics of your clients are wide, you may want to consider opening two (or more) eBay stores. eBay allows this practice. The small extra costs incurred by running a second storefront are well offset by increased sales overall. Keep the comic books in one store and the vitamins in the other. Your clients will reward you with more orders in BOTH stores! eBay Store DesignPosted Oct-20-06 13:55:19 PDT Updated Oct-20-06 21:27:30 PDT When I first started on eBay back in 2002, I was more than a but surprised that you could actually SELL services on eBay. Pretty amazing concept. I've come to learn that the feedback system in eBay is brilliant in that bidders can "assess risk" based on feedback. Of later, with more competiitve pressures on eBay, my store design services seem to be in amazingly high demand. There is something immensely satisfying about taking an "average" store and creating an AMAZING store. Very cool indeed!
