San Dimas Blog

Beta program for San Dimas starts today!

Actually, it started yesterday, but I was so busy with stuff here at the developers conference that I wasn't able to blog about it until today. I started sending out invitations last night, and I'll send out some more today and throughout the week.

I got to show San Dimas in the keynote yesterday, which was a great experience.

If you haven't yet signed up for the beta, be sure to do so soon - if you do it is likely that you'll get an invite within a few weeks.

It's looking really good. The buyer side is pretty slick, I'm wondering what you plan on doing for sellers though?

Will there be a running list of all bugs submitted so far? I would hate to resubmit a bug that has already been submitted multiple times. So far I love it!!

ehersman - Thanks! We are working on a simple selling tool for "casual sellers" -- what exactly that means is a bit up in the air, but we have some ideas.

zaleznationinc - we are working on a bug list, yes. For now, don't worry about repeats, and in fact it kind of helps to have them because that helps us see how often certain issues are appearing.

San Dimas doesn't seem to work with Security Key yet... Is that planned for phase 2?

jaechow - If you have a PayPal security key, append the number to your eBay password in the login screen. A few other users have reported this, so we will probably be providing more info about this in the Login screen.

zuzulapraline1 - Since you asked nicely, you get an invite. And all I ask in return is a detailed writeup of your impressions. 1500 words or so should suffice :-)

Hey guillimg - I had to delete your comment because it contained your email address. Don't want to be the reason that you'd start getting spammed! Here is the comment you wrote, minus the email address:

>Great to hear!! So excited to try it out! Can you please send an invite to xxxqqq@example.com when you get the chance? Thanks so much!

Now, I can't just go sending out invites to everyone who askes. guillimg is the last one... everyone else has to get creative in asking for invites. Of course you could just so sign up at projectsandimas.com and wait your turn like everyone else :-)

Hello, I also think the invites are very slow, I think I should get one I signed up when you first could, besides I am on the site everyday, quite a few hours and would love to see something different, I love change, go figure!! So please for sanity and my families please give an invite with a big cherry on top!!!
