I finally got brave enough

Well I finally did it!

I released my first pattern... I made this jacket up some years ago for our tiny little girl yorkie, then I made the vest because we got our little boy yorkie.

I started making my own stuff because our Ella was so tiny, nothing fit her.  She's not just little but she is very petite (skinny) so she really fit in nothing.   So I started sewing for her, making changes to the samples as I made lots of mistakes.  But now I have a perfect tiny pattern that she actually likes to wear, its not combersom or overly frilly... its actually a plain little pattern that I dress up for specail ocassions with lace, embroidery, collars etc.

Now I am a crafter by nature, my Mother tried to have a friend teach me years ago, I was like 14 or so... I wasn't really into it.  But when I was pregnant with my first child, I bought a book, and taught myself how to read the symbols and patterns.  Viola! I made a jacket for my baby, it was cute... and wearable too.  I did make it out of granny squares (like my Mom showed me) but I used a pattern, I did not remember how to make them other wise.  But I guess my Mom is the one that first introduced me to crochet.

I made dolls for my girls, blankets for friends and family, and even sweaters at times.  So now I have this tiny little yorkie that at the first sign of a breeze, she's shirvering, but nothing fits her right.  She actually was walking right out of the smallest sized sweaters (I paid $45.00 for) she would get herself all caught up in that sweater and just lay there. She looked pitiful!

Now, I have never made a pattern, never tried to write one... I didn't even think of writing one, but I did wing it making a sweater thing... It was a "thing"at this point, but I keept at it, she needed it.  Then finally I had this useable peice... she kept it on, it fit her and she could not walk out of it.

It was rough, simple and she could wear it!

That's how this all started!

Now I have refined the basic pattern and I am having a BLAST designing ans showing off my designs.

I have already completed, 4th of July, St. Patricks Day, Christmas, Howloween, Valentines Day, Easter and some cute regular day sweaters.  Each of these has a Vest as well.
