The implementation of the new Feed back system has finally cause the mom and pop to be out gunned on Ebay! All of the brownstone store and corporate sellers have an unfair advantage since they have a staff of multiple employees to take care of shipping and customer service.

They have for years been undercutting us and selling below cost anyway so why have we bothered to stay at ebay?
I for one am ready to shut down due to the excessive shipping charges I must charge to keep my delivery time short. I have had to change my packaging style to a simpler, more costly, more expensive for my customers style.

I used to wrap each package by hand with loving care because I thought my customers deserved it! Now I am forced to slap it into a box and send it off as fast as possible so i can get a decent shipping time and feed back. It also means the shipping costs for my customer have TRIPPLED!

I personally think its inane for ebay to be this ignorant but they are a corporation now and they have no feelings left for the mom and pop business. 

So Since this is the one and only Blog post I will ever do, I will tell you that I am closing my store at ebay due to the ingnorance of eBay. I will not open up another one like this anywhere else.

In my opnion Ebay has gotten too big for it's own britches!

I want to let all of my customers and friends know I will miss them!

It has been an honor to serve and talk with each and every one of you over the past couple of years.
Below is a letter I wanted t post on my store page but I didn't have the room so I'm putting it up here. I have since decided t close my store completely as soon as I'm out of stock.

But!

If you agree with me please notify eBay since they are the only ones that can fix it.

I still won't ever come back because I can no longer trust them to use their common sense instead of their Greed and stupidity!

I promise you won't have trouble finding me since I will retain the store name.
Now without further blabbering:

Hi All,

Please note: I can no longer Ship to APO's FPO's and Post Office Boxes due to the shipping changes I have been forced to make due to the new feedback policys.

You will no longer recieve free CD's in your packages due to the shipping changes either. This is due to the fact we no longer charge a .50 cent handling fee. (which actually saved you $2.00-$3.00 a package because it allowed me to use Media Mail)You will now have to Pay FULL prices on Parcel Post, Priority Mail or UPS instead. Since no one really understood what I was doing to save them money and my customers were giving me low marks on my Shipping and handling charges anyway, there was no longer a reason to keep doing it.

Due to Ebay's new feedback system I can no longer offer the customized shipping (Hand Wrapped) options I formerly used to keep our shipping prices low. Everything will now arrive in a cold hearted box instead of my carefully and lovingly wrapped packages.

The BOX which cost about three times more to ship is easier so I will have more time to send out cute little messages to my customers instead of saving them money.

I now have to spend my time doing paper work to make you happy instead of saving you money on shipping. But it will increase my communication  ratings I'm sure. At least eBay thinks it will. Stupido!

You will notice I no longer sell one of anything either since it is not cost efficient with the new eBay fees imposed on me.

So yes, I have had to change my business pratices, but not for the better in my opinion.

It is not my fault, Tell eBay that it is unfair to small sellers and better for the corporations that pay people to do their shipping AND CUSTOMER SERVICE for them and do not have other jobs.

At these prices I don't think I will sell anything. But I'll give it a go for  awhile and see.

I can not keep the store open very long since it is costing me more to operate since the last fee raises than I make. Ebay now makes more per item than I do. The only thing that will save it is if I start selling about double what I have been to make up the difference.

I'm living off of my social security and work a part time job plus this store and I can barely afford my medications and food. I can not afford to give things away anymore not even my time.

It's Not my fault it's eBay's they have forced me into this situation. I used to enjoy ebay, now it has gotten hard for me to even go to the page.

As soon as my main stock is sold out I will be closing. I will be donating all of my left over merchandise to a charity since I will have no further use of it.
