My eBay Blog will supplement my main Blog. Here' I'll share what I've tried and learned about marketing and advertising eBay auction items.
Internet marketing is my passion so it stands to reason that I would eventually be drawn to eBay - for the experience and education if for nothing else.
My immediate interests are in the various ways of cross promotion without violating eBay policy. Things such as:
:: Getting a potential buyer in auction item 'A' to consider auction item 'B' or 'C'.
:: Informing a buyer or potential buyer that you have other items or products available but not yet posted but that would change were there to be some interest.
:: Turning your auction bidders into long term customers.
:: Building a list in the form of a newsletter or Ezine.
:: Giving products away free or very cheap in order to profit from cross-promotions, up- sells, back end sales and impulse buys.
:: Building trust and respect on eBay that will also build customer confidence on other sites such as our personal online store fronts.
:: Encouraging eBayers to add you to their favorites list or bookmarking your profile or Blog.
:: Generating genuine interest in eBayers to the point they will recommend your product or service.
These were off the top of my head. I didn't think anything through as I typed so please allow for that if something doesn't sound right. As you can see, I have a ton of interest in eBay and that has generated dozens of questions I need to investigate. I plan to use every tool eBay was nice enough to provide so I'll use this Blog to record my findings and share my ups and downs with anyone that cares to read them. Who knows, maybe this will be the beginning of a future best seller or the next big time eBook out there! Wow, I feel sorry for that editor :)
