The Lie of Cinderella

I would just like to point out that Cinderella never had glass slippers. They were actually made out of fig in the origional story. Fig and glass, in french are very smililar and during the translation, it became glass slippers instead of fig slippers.

also, in the original story....
things were not all song and dance. LOL
in the original, there were women cuttin off part of their feet to try and fit into the slipper, for goodness sake.

When translated to english and then done by Grimm, YUP, the story tells about how one of the sisters cut off her toe, and the shoe filled with blood, and one of the sisters shaved off part of her heel. all to fit in that shoe. LOL!!

ive never read the FRENCH version cuz... well.... i cant bloody read french... all i can read in french is FROMAGE, which doesnt help alot. LOL
